For the price, great!
This is a specialty item....if you have a need for an l-shape rod you know the prices can be pretty wild, so it was nice to find this here on Amazon at such a reasonable price.Rest assured this is quality. It works great. NOTE: I did install a hybrid of the two. I used 1 bolt-in, and the provided glue. Feels very study and I didn't need the ceiling cable support.I recommend.

Perfect for my needs
This product is excellent. This installation was good. The directions were obviously a translation so it was not always perfect. I had to deduce some things about the assembling. All in all tho, the adhesive is EXCELLENT. Very sturdy. There was no need for ceiling hooks. And it does not sag. Once you screw it tightly. Great product

Mediocre quality; ceiling support needed
When I purchased this product in May 2020, the advertisement said that the rod did not need a ceiling support, which is the reason I purchased it. In fact, it stated it did not come with a ceiling support. because it is not necessary. However, when I received the product, it came with a ceiling support and directions for installing it. It is definately required, despite what the photos on the seller's page shows. Now, June 2020, I see the advertisement has changed stating the ceiling support is included. If you are looking for a L-Shaped Rod that does not need a ceiling support, this is not it. The rod droops from the wall to the center of the rod making the shower curtain touch in the center of the shower but not near the walls. My installation is around 40" in both directions and the center of the rod is 2" lower than the supports at the walls. Installing the ceiling support makings using a single shower curtain and liner impossible. So, I had to cut the curtain and liner to meet at the ceiling support. This adds to the installation time. The end pieces that cover the wall supports do not attach to the support so basically "float" leaving a gap between the cover and the wall (see photos). In addition, the shiny covers have a brown ring around the diameter which looks like burn marks from the manufacturing process (see photos). This is not noticeable at a distance, but you can see it when holding it in your hand. The tube is advertised as very strong, but it easily deforms when tightening the retaining screw to secure the rod at the wall support. You must be careful not to over-tighten this retaining screw. Another poor design issue is the wall support itself. It has three screw holes which are used to attach the bracket to the wall. The directions make a big deal about the retaining screw being down (6 O'clock) (as an aside, this does not seem necessary, and it the install would look better if the screw were at the top (12 O'clock). The retain screw should be exactly opposite the single hole, and exactly half-way between the other two holes. This would make the support much easier to properly align on the wall at the proper height above the floor since the two bottom holes could be marked level (horizontal). This poor design feature leads to additional installation time and frustration.Bottom line, I would not purchase this item again, and would have sent it back if I did not have so much time invested in the installation. I'm using this as a temporary measure until I can completely remodel the bathroom so I'll deal with it. If it were a long term installation/solution, I would definately return the product for a full refund.

Needed a few modifications but overall works well
I have a pretty large corner shower that is custom tiled with travertine and I have trouble finding curtain rods that will work without some kind of center support. This one works well but I had to make some modifications. First, I used my own anchors and screws to mount the brackets directly to the tile shower wall because I don't believe for a second that the adhesive that comes with this kit was going to hold long term. The other issue is that the rod doesn't fit very snugly into the brackets and the result is that there is a little bit of "play" which allowed the shower rod to sag when holding 2 shower curtains. I fixed this by cutting some little pieces of aluminum sheet metal and using them as shims between the shower rod and the bracket. I think if the parts were machined to fit a little more tightly, it would make the rod more sturdy. I would also suggest, instead of using a set screw at the bottom of the bracket to hold the rod in place, a threaded screw at the top of the bracket that threads into the rod, would work better since it would be pulling the rod up instead of pushing up from under the rod which just kind of tends to bend the rod when it's supporting a lot of weight.
