Finally a water wand that lasts. OK, maybe I finally found one that lasts. (with 3-year update)
I can't say enough good things about this wand. It is heavy-duty without being heavy. Love the thumb flow control. Love the quality. This should last a good long time. Recommended by my local greenhouse. That's the brand they use. As opposed to cheap big box home improvement store wands that I have to replace just about every year, this wand has a very high-quality cast housing (see pic: I removed the washer to see the seamless casting that won't start leaking). I also put on a stainless steel quick connect (last one you'll need to buy) both to swap out different handles and to add a swivel to the wand. The only complaint I have: It would be nice if there was a rubber bumper around the end of the water breaker/diffuser. I could see the hard plastic head breaking if I dropped it on the driveway.Update: 3 years later still going strong. I've added two more pictures. The first two are from when it's new and the second two are after 3 years of use. I guess I didn't appreciate the design of the thumb control. As you can see, it has scratches on it, but since it's so streamlined with the handle, it doesn't get caught on things as you drag it around. It still works like new. And as you can see the stainless steel quick connector (not included) looks the same 3 years later.

So happy I got a Dramm watering wand. It's better than any nozzle for what I want.
The Dramm wands were exactly what I was looking for! I got this 30 inch model and a shorter one. Dramm wands quickly delivery a lot of water without "pressure washing", rototilling or excavating the area. The Dramm head gently breaks the water and produces a perfect high-flow shower. WOULD rate this more highly if I could!! Great for potted plants, because you can quicly water them without disturbing the soil.I was a little leery about the Dramm wand models that include the inline flow regulator, but it works perfectly, with ease, and it doesn't require a second hand. Love it!! (The flow regulator is the part that breaks first on competitor's nozzles. But the Dramm mechanism feels like it's built to last, and it's smart design so it incurs very little stress when in use.My Dramm watering wonds are in perfect shape as we near the end of the summer. Most of the nozzles I've bought over recent years, crack and fail, and last a season at best ... and worst of all they have lots of spray setting that I never use, and none that I like, except soak and sometimes shower. So glad I tried Dramm!

Pretty good
Overall a good product, the stream is steady and not too powerful so it doesn't beat the plants into the ground. My one complaint is that it can leak even when the valve is supposed to be closed.

Dramm Water Wand is Highly Recommended
I love the Dramm water wand that came recommended by my landscaper. It’s easy to connect to my hose and not hard to hold with arthritic hands. The on/off lever is so easy to use. I took it out of the box and used it immediately. I have watered my vegetable garden as well as all my new plants. You can’t go wrong with Dramm!

Worth the extra cost
We ordered the 30” wand with the thumb switch to turn the water off &on. This ia a quality product & works perfectly. Very soft water flow which allows us to hand water our plants in half the time. I highly recommend this product.

Heavy to hold, flow is more monsoon than gentle rain
Not good for bonsai, the water volume is great but the droplets hit heavy which disrupts the soil surface. I have to shake it back and forth so it doesn’t flood a surface too quickly and violently. That said, it waters really well! But it is extremely tiring to hold (I have noodle arms and bad wrists). I got the 1000 head and will swap it and see if it helps with the spray.

Dram14804 one touch rain wand
I did so much research before I bought a wand because I know that a lot of them are leaking or are falling apart after very little use. When I saw that this one was made in USA and was all made of metal I decided to give it a try. I connected the wand and there was no leaks as it was securely fasten. Also the water rose delivered a lot of water. I would highly recommend that product!

Great product, but a bit too expensive
Can't go wrong with Dramm. Product wise, the best in the industry especially the one touch models. Only complains are the price (it use to be around $30) and the fact you're stuck with one head (the 400). I needed the 750 or 1000 so might have to change those out.

This one is great for watering flowers/gardens
Had 2 Gardena wands before but both ended up leaking. This one is great for watering flowers/gardens. Lots of water fast without drilling into the plants or soil. Really cuts down the time it takes to water the garden.
