Very sturdy
Excellent suitcase very roomy, very little marks on it after a trip to Orlando I had worried about the colour but there was no need to. Easy to manoeuvre the 4 wheels are great.

Good quality medium size soft spinner suitcase
Smart looking compact 4 x double-wheel Samsonite medium size suitcase. Holds about 18 kg of normal clothing so add 3 kg suitcase weight and you are ok for most airlines 23kg hold luggage weight limit. Combined with 10kg under-seat squashy bag that's good for 2 people for a 10 day holiday. Good, built-in security locking system (once you have figured out how to get at the instructions! see on-line reviews) and a handy retractable identity tag. Zips and dark colour materials are sturdy as is the base panel and wheels. Pull-handle feels lightweight when extended. Grab handles are provided on the top, side and base and all are good quality. Bit pricey compared to similar marques but I expect you get what you pay for.

You can't beat a Samsonite
You can't beat a Samsonite. If you can afford it, then definitely buy it. It lasts and most importantly, its castors always keep on working properly, unlike many others.

Video demonstration
The media could not be loaded. When first receiving the Samsonite Spark SNG case I had to revert to Google and YouTube for a few minutes to work out what the default combination code was and how to open the case. Because Samsonite had neglected to give any information on the code and how to open the case on the exterior labels, but once opened I noticed annoyingly that the necessary instructions and information was locked inside of the case. The default code for Samsonite when it leaves their warehouse is 000, and to open the case you push firmly in on the Key lock section as this is a button. You do not receive a key with the case, As the key lock is solely for the TSA authorities in America who have a master key if they need to access your case. The information and instructions that were on the inside of the case tell you how to reset the combination code to your preference, which is very easy to do. The case itself is very light weight weighing in just over 3 kg when empty, and with the four 360° rotating wheels makes it easy to manoeuvre. The telescopic handle has four locking positions and the side plus top carrying handles are cushioned for comfort. The case measures approximately 67 x 44 x 27 cm ( including handles, wheels, front pockets ), But when expanded then measures 67 x 44 x 31 cm approximately. The case has a security cable that threads through the two front pocket zips, Which locks back into the combination lock providing security for all compartments. There are four main compartment zips, which are two normal and two expansion zips that also lock into the combination lock. The inside of the case has your usual securing straps, A zipped mesh pocket that runs the length of the case, And a mesh pocket on the inside of the lid that unzips totally with securing straps inside. I have attached a video with this review to demonstrate all of the features of the case, but especially to show you how the case opens . I hope you have found my video and review helpful.

A DIFFICULT CASE TO GET INTO....
When I got this suitcase to review, I was delighted as I was needing a medium sized case for my upcoming holiday. Samsonite is a known name in cases and their slightly more expensive price tag suggests a superior product....First off, when it arrived I was happy to see it was just the exact size I wanted. Very lightweight too - important in achieving the weight restrictions of most airlines. It seems well made and looks the part. There is a cork-like material used as trim for the handle and down the back. Not sure how hard-wearing this may be in the long term, but it looks smart enough. Then came the problems. I could not get the thing to open ! The Lock on the case is one of those TSA combination locks. This means that it can be opened by airport officials using a master key- but for us owners it is operated by the combination dials. This particular model also has a wire cable coming from somewhere inside the top seam and threading through the zips on the 2 front pockets and into the lock already holding the main zippers. thus, all openings are secure when travelling. It is a supposedly simple operation to dial the 3 digit number and press the button on the lock to release the zippers and cable. Not so in my case....Samsonite have neglected to include any instructions on how to open the lock initially. Mine came with the factory default of 000 ( I only knew this by resorting to Google). Although the dials read this I tried pushing the button, sliding the button and pulling at the zips. Eventually I found a few Youtube video instructions ( Samsonite's website is useless in this respect) before finding the exact one for my model. This showed that you need to push the button inwards- but still no joy. I then tried the setting 111 which some models have. Still nothing. I even tried the reset button ( which you push in using a pen nib). Still nothing. Eventually, after much exasperation and about 45 minutes research I pushed the button and the zips sprang open. Not really sure how it happened but I was relieved. To add insult to injury there was instructions on how to operate the lock INSIDE the locked case!! Well done, Samsonite! That over, I inspected the interior. All as you might expect. There is the usual elasticated straps to hold contents in place. One nice touch is that there is plastic clips on either side to hold the straps open whilst packing, so they don't get stuck underneath the clothes as you put them in. The lid has the usual zip-up section with straps and a mesh pocket. The case allows for expansion too via a second zip hidden inside the main one. Quite nice and sturdy too, in that respect.I even found it straightforward resetting the combination lock - and all seemed well at last. I then found that the lock still would not work ! Despite dialling the new combination, the button would not release the zips and cable. This time, I knew I was doing it right. After struggling a while it did finally release. I have inspected the lock and the problem seems to be the cable. Once in the lock it seems to jam the operation. Placing just the zippers in without the cable works every time. Place the cable in and it jams again..... maybe that has been the problem all along ?The case is usable providing I leave the cable out of the lock, so that is what I will do. Not at all satisfactory, but the case itself is fine otherwise.Maybe I just have a faulty model, but in summary I can say that had I paid the price tag for this case I would have been a dissatisfied customer. The struggle and frustration I had with the lock was added to by Samsonite's failure to provide adequate instruction or customer back-up via their website. Given that there is so many other makes of suitcase out there- and at much lower prices- I would opt for one of them given my own experience with this one. It's a shame, because otherwise this is a good, possibly long-lasting suitcase that many would be happy with, as other reviewers on here are.I will, indeed, still be using this case for my holidays, but in writing these reviews I can only speak as I find, and the initial frustration and ongoing problem do not lend themselves to my own customer satisfaction....
