ESUMIC® Car Laptop/Eating Steering Wheel Desk

Works straight out of box, albeit doesn't sit anywhere near to 90 degrees. With several careful cumulative mods via shaving some of the plastic off where it seats on the steering wheel, using a fresh (sharp) Stanley knife, I was able to get a tighter, better fit. I sliced/shaved off plastic incrementally - as the device is hollow. By knowing this in advance, you can stop when you break through, without making much of hole and not therefore changing the overall integrity too much. I only did this to ONE SIDE - so pick what side functionality is most important to you if you decide to mod yours too. Mine now seats a bit nearer to 90 degrees too. Looking forward to using it my van tomorrow with my Psion NetBook (or smaller PDAs or various size laptops). Will bear lots of weight easily.

Having read other reviews I was somewhat concerned about whether this would fit the Land Rover's rather chunky steering wheel. I'm pleased to say it fits perfectly on the Discovery 3 wheel, provided the road wheels are pointing forward, leaving the open part of the steering wheel at the bottom. It will not fit if the road wheels are left at an angle after parking.It's a surprisingly deep table - a good thing, no doubt, as it makes using a small laptop (e.g. MacBook Air) feasible, but it does mean one needs to move the seat as far back from the wheel as possible, which in a smaller car might be a problem with rear passengers.

I’m a community worker so have found this laptop steering wheel tablet so useful. I not only type on my laptop but use it to have my dinner on, which prevents both my car and myself from getting food spilled on. It also fits under the seat for easy storage.

Seems strong and would be perfect for someone in a van. Unfortunately, it is too large for me to use in my car. Tthere is not enough room as it sits at the very bottom of the steering wheel . It’s build is sturdy enough to hold a laptop etc. I am now looking for another tray that can attach to the wheel about half way up.

This has made my life so much easier it's untrue!I'm often having to use my laptop for work while in my van and I've been balancing it on my legs for years. As soon as I realised this product existed I knew straight away that I had to get one and I'm so happy that I did.No more balancing act, no more hot balls, it's so simple yet so superb in design!Cannot recommend enough!Make sure you turn your steering wheel round 180 degrees which gives it a better grip on the wheel and a higher position.The reviewers who have mentioned that it catches their legs surely just need to adjust their steering wheels?Incredibly happy with the purchase, would recommend to anyone in a similar situation!

it is for a yaris car, doesnt fit very well

Used this in my little Fiat 500 Lounge car.. Best thing I have ever got.. I enjoy eating & drinking without trying to balance my cup and food without spilling.. i enjoy snacking in the car much more now.. Great for Writing On also.. Put under your seat when your finished, fits perfect.

Obvious now I've bought it but it's usefulness depends on the angle of the steering wheel. Too flat and it's useless. I bought it for a van that has a flatter steering wheel! My fault and it appears solid and would probably work in ordinary car. Still think the concept is a good one.
