Vic Firth Drumsticks Nova 5A Black Drumsticks - Hickory 1 Pair

Loved these, good value, long lasting and that is saying something as I normally go through a pair a month! Good size and lightweight for the size of them, they even look good!! All in all, impressive!

These drum sticks are the brand of choice for an experienced teenager drummer working at Grade 6 Rockschool. 5A is a good standard size for the average style of playing and is the preferred size for this player across different styles even for jazz where a lighter stick is often used. These sticks are used for practising as well as for performances, where the effect of the black colour is more striking. As with all drumsticks they become worn and damaged with use and given these have a black surface you can expect the black colour to wear off which can result in these sticks looking older more quickly then the wooden non coloured alternatives. They also leave black marks on the drum heads which some people may not like.

Does what it says on the can... Good sticks. . Durable. .. feel good. . Nice balance. . That's why I keep buying them.. onto my15 th pair now.

Was a bit unsure about ordering these as the description mentioned slight blemishes. However, they looked perfect and son loves them. They look really cool!
