This is a top quality Expanding Garden Hose. I'm very impressed with it. I have bought a couple of the other expanding hoses, and they both leaked and broke, they didn't last long. The material on this hose is nothing like the other hoses, it's much thicker and stronger. You can feel it's not flimsy and floppy like all the others. I would advise that the hose be connected to the mains water tap. Because it's such a good quality hose, you need the mains water pressure to expand it fully. It went all the way around my Brother in laws garden. He was amazed, he thought it was a great hose too. It came in a nice box, it has a six months guarantee. The seller, JR Cash Saver, offer a great customer service, if you need any information about your purchase, brilliant what more do we need.

We have had expanding hoses before but although the concept seemed good, the reality meant that the hose tended to weaken then give way, rendering them uselessHowever, ever keen we ordered this hose, which as other reviewers have stated, is immediately of a much higher (tougher) qualityUsed it all through last summer and then, stupidly, forgot to take it in over the extremely cold winter weatherThe result was whilst the hose was still fine ~ impressive ~ the spray gun had cracked and could not be usedAs I was loathe to throw away the perfectly good hose, I sent an email to the supplier and received an immediate reply from JohnHe offered a free replacement if I was prepared to pay postageI certainly was but then decided to also order another hose for the front garden & then gun was sent free of any postage with thisApart from a slight hiccup due to the courier ~ and outside of John's control ~ a replacement arrived as promisedIn these days where no-one seems to know how to spell 'customer service' let alone provide it, my faith has been restored!Many thanks John ~ you are a star!

I've had a few similar hoses in the past and been very impressed from day one. This one seems (out of the box) very well made and has a strangely sensual feel to the fabric that covers the hose. But, within minutes of fitting it to my garden tap it had developed snags in the fabric. Not huge ones and nothing that would stop the hose working. As I used the hose for the first time I noticed that it developed more snags as it was dragged over my stone patio - the sort of thing you'd do with any hose as you move around the garden. When I tried to take it round the front of the house the house just refused to be pulled around a corner in the wall. I had to gather the hose up and then pay it out as i went around. So, in summary, it works, it feels great and it looks fab straight out of the box. But, the looks probably won't last and it seems like it'll be more work to use than other brands I've had.

Hosepipe is to replace existing rather aged one which has become very stiff over the years. What a difference the Expanding Hose is. So easy to use and manoeuvre, namely washing conservatory glass roof with old pipe was so difficult due to overall weight and stiffness. New replacement is so different and much less of a chore. Like the metallic connectors. For me the 100ft length is just right to reach car and again much more flexible to use. The overall strength and general ruggedness appears to be adequate...........probably wont last 15+ years compared to existing one but I just don't care because it's worth the weight reduction / flexibility alone. Looks like am a "Born Again" conservatory roof /car cleaner.Further update - dated 7th June 2018.Hardly used Spray gun because used a car brush attachment. However, just needed to use Spray Gun and unfortunately get water spraying out of moulding joint line. This is because moulding is sub-standard and has what is known as "Cold weld line". Meaning that plastic is not fused together. Oh dear, not as good as first thought. Hose fabric cover is also rapidly wearing and over past 9 months did revert to usingstandard hose pipe. Unfortunately not as good as originally thought. Thus, reduced review grading from 5* to 2*

Ive bought 2 other expandable hosepipes from elsewhere over past 6 months and my builders have not emptied them so they have just let it either run and not turn tape off so the pipe explodes literally or not emptied tbe hosepipe at night.With this new hosepipe its definitely an upgraded version which im thrilled with also with brass fittings so they fit so much better and not going to wear if unscrewed or tightened up like plastic fittings do.Fitted straight away out of the box screwed onto the outside tap syraight away no adaptions needed.Tip is to allow the hosepipe to slowlu fill up and expand before opening the tap fullu for the actual water pressure.1 yr warranty is a bonus tooVery pleased with the quality 5* from me

I've tried these expanding hoses before and found that they lost their expanding ability quite quickly-the last one didn;t last the winter. But I noticed that this one is a completely different design and is a hose within a hose, more like the ones advertised on TV.So, the new hose arrived quickly and within the time quoted. It stretches more than the length of the garden but the 7 function spray gun didn't work at all. The water came out all around and soaked me. So I returned it - good old amazon - and got a new one. It works perfectly and hopefully it will last? I'm not keen on the plastic tie used around the hose in the delivery box. I crushes the hose a littl and may produce a weak spot later - we'll see.

Billed as a little more rugged version of the expanding hose, but check the guarantee time. 6 Months! Which is just 1 garden season and ours lasted not much longer than the guarantee!!!Unlike similar hoses this one is seemingly unrepairable as the hose connector has a male clamped fitting and not a sliding plastic clamp.We kept the hose indoors through the winter to avoid frost and it is a great hose, when it works, but would have gained more stars if it had been repairable.

Happy with the hose very light and good fittings expands easy and when finished empty the hose and see it shrink back folds up well and easy to store
