My daughter's Dell Latitide E5570 from 2020 had a swollen battery. I ordered this Dell battery as a slight upgrade to replace the swollen original. It is a wider battery than the original, but hopefully won't swell.I already had the small screwdriver to loosen the cover screws to access the battery. The tiny battery screws were easy to remove. I placed each screw on the sticky side of masking tape as I went along to avoid losing any of them.The hardest part of the battery replacement is detaching the cable from the systemboard as the connection cable is at an awkward and tiny angle. You remove the cable from the old battery to reuse with the new battery since there's no cable included with this replacement battery.After a quick clean up inside the open laptop, we replaced the cover and ran pre-boot system diagnostics by pressing F12 during system boot. The new battery works great and passed all hardware diagnostics tests.

Bought this battery in June 2024 and after only six months of casual use the battery would no longer hold a charge. The original battery worked fine for over five years. Of course, too late to return the battery purchased on Amazon.Update: The seller sent a replacement battery but it only worked for one month and then died. Would no longer hold a charge. Contacted seller again and they said they would send a 3-cell replacement battery (original is 4-cell). It has now been two months and have received nothing. I would just like a good quality 4-cell replacement battery -- what I originally ordered.
