HiSport Fuel Injector Micro Filter Repair and Removal Tool

It pulled out the filter but cracked off the plastic o-ring on the end of the injector and one two of the four, left the metal filter ring in the injector hole. I had to carefully reverse drill it out. No leaks and runs fine after cleaning. I would still buy it if doing it again as the alternative with a screw wouldn't have worked at all.

I used this HiSport Fuel Injector Micro Filter Removal Tool to remove the filters/strainers, from the fuel injectors from 04 Grand Cherokee 4.0l I removed 4 of the 6, not the tools fault. 181.000 mile fault. The tool worked good. I didn't know at first, but turn the screw into the filter/strainer until it stops, don't force it after it stops, let the tool do the rest per instructions.

It's plastic, looks like a #3 screw inside but it works well enough to pull the old stubborn cups out without damaging the injector. I wish it didn't mawl the injector cup so much but I'm not reusing them anyways.

This thing pays for itself simply in time it saves. I have a Volkswagen Touareg that I was changing seals and baskets on the injectors and try as I might no other method on YouTube was working.. I tried clamping a screw in a vise and twisting it on and bending it, tried pliers, I tried a lot of different ways.. none of them budged the screen inside so I didn't have very high hopes for these but the second I tried one, I had the screen out in 10 seconds; trust me it's worth it.

I tried using a large screw to remove the basket and it didn't work even after I used penetrating fluid. I tried this and it worked the first time.
