I suggest that a qualified electrician be consulted. I don't think you should use a lighting circuit to run the motor, a suitable ring main spur would probably be safer.

I don’t think so. Unless you know your way around working with electrical wires!

How long is the wire to plug it into the wall?

From memory about half a metre which was way too short for my situation thus bought a IEC C13 5m lead with plug
