Starrett 827MB Edge Finders, Single End, 10mm Body Diameter, 6mm Contact Diameter

I've used Edge finders before with some being better than others. My old edge finder was by Starrett and the accuracy was repeatable, this newer model is just as accurate and exactly what I wanted. My last edge finder lasted me years until i broke it, this replacement will hopefully last me just as long if not longer

Takes a little while to get used to it. DRO is possibly aiming for a higher level of accuracy than is realistically achievable.

Does the job

A very useful tool in the workshop. This item is of very good quality and finish and extremely easy to use.I would recommend this device to anyone that uses a milling machine whatever the size.I use the edge finder on My Mini Mill and it's improved the accuracy of every job that I use it for.

First time for me using one of these as traditionally used dti etc.Fast easy set up. Spins out off-set when it touches the edge of the job. Checked a few touches with the DRO setting and it was very accurate.

Very handy tool! I use it on a daily basis. The item arrived in perfect condition - original packing, brand new. Simply perfect!

Good item

I use this in a 10mm toolholder in my Denford Triac milling machine. I find it's repeatable with +/- 0.01, and it's quick to use. Very different experience from using a superficially similar but much cheaper edge finder.
