Yes, Robins will take it from the ground too, especially if they are already feeding on that ground. Finches will not normally take suet but otherwise most ground/feeder birds will take these. If you really want to spoil a Robin, put some freeze dried mealworms down as well, they adore them...

Can you mix it in with seed in a feeder?

I bought these so long ago - my review said they were good though. I have other nibbles which I mix in with the seed & put ON the bird table, rather than in a feeder. I did try another brand which must have had slightly larger pieces, as the feeder got clogged after rainy periods, as other people have said.
