I originally bought this cup for my dad for Father's Day, but he fell in love with my 30oz RTIC cup I got as a gift myself- so I bought a fitting Star Trek vinyl sticker and gave him the RTIC cup- excited to have the Chill Cup for myself hahaWe were both very happy...until I realized that my ice would melt seemingly faster in my Chill Cup than in the RTIC cup.I couldn't tell if it was just me, but the ice seemed to melt very quickly after just putting it in.Naturally, I did a little test to dig deeper.I'll try to keep it short but this is how it went:1. I filled both cups with 2 Cups of crushed ice straight from the fridge2. I filled both cups with 1 Cup of chilled water straight from the fridge(Both cups rested with their lids ON)3. Periodically, I checked the temperature of the cups first at 2:02PM (not pictured), 4:04PM, and again at 6:02PM (I let the thermometer warm back up to room temperature after putting it in one cup)*They seemed to be melting at the same rate- but kept almost an equal temperature of 2 Degrees Fahrenheit throughout the experimentExperiment Design Flaws:-The initial temperature measurement of the water and ice were not taken-The cups were of different sizes-The RTIC lid had an open mouth hole whereas the Chill Cup had a full sealed lidTL;DR: The result was that the 30oz RTIC cup and the 20oz Chill Cup are equally effective(perhaps the RTIC cup would've done even better had there been a sealed lid)!The added bonus with the Chill Cup is the nice amount of accessories you get with each cup :)So really, both cups are wonderful- and it's totally up to you to decide which one suits your budget/wants!

I used it today. Did not have to reheat my coffee. Fits perfectly in my 2016 Ford F-150 cup holder, I strongly recommend it.

The cup itself is well made and keeps coffee hot for 4 -6 hours easily. My problem is that the sliding closure to make it spill proof must be removed in order to clean the lid effectively. The only way to remove the sliding closure is to force it. It pops right out but over a very short time, less than 10 removals the plastic on both the lid and the sliding closure start wearing away. It's only a matter of time before it's not tight anymore. I stopped using the sliding closure and just use the cup with or without the lid.The lid should have a key ways in each side of the slot in which the sliding closure moves back and forth, at the opposite end from the opening you drink out of so that when you slide it to one end it is closed and to the other end it comes out easily. Another benefit from a design like this that they could then make the tabs which hold the sliding closure in place longer and put 2 on each side, front and rear, which would allow the fit to be tighter and more secure from spills, plus it wouldn't wear. My lid and and the slider are both in pretty bad shape, cracking and worn away from very little use.The stainless straw, brush and particularly the mug handle are very nice accessories which are included.This is a nice package except for the poorly designed lid. The problem is that this is being marketed largely based on the lid being spill proof. It won't be for long unless you never remove the slider to clean it properly. It is initially very hard to remove but gets much easier very quickly. I had to use a spoon handle at first but just a few removals I could use my little finger to pop it out.

Keeps coffee hot or cold on depending how you prepare it. I’ve bought as gifts as well

I loved EVERYTHING about this mug so, so much that I ordered another one, except the 2nd one is 30 oz & the 1st one is 20 oz. After coming home after a lengthy hospitalization, I was instructed to continue drinking a LOT of water. My 20 oz mug came to mind, but I knew I wanted a somewhat larger size. So I searched my existing mug & found out they make a 30 oz mug!! I ordered that larger size, it came really fast, & then I dedicated my 20 oz mug for HOT items (mostly coffee) & my 30 oz mug for cold items (so far, it has only been for ice water). The length of time that these mugs hold the temperature, regardless of whether it’s a COLD or a HOT item, still constantly surprise me!! I also put both mugs into a Koozie, but not to help the mugs hold their temperature, because they don’t need it, but just to make sure I protect my wooden surfaces, in case I forget & leave one of these mugs sitting on it for an entire day or night. I also only wash them by hand, because I don’t want to take a chance of hurting the fabulous seal that these have!! I would absolutely buy these again!!
