Laser 4136 Cv Boot Clamp Pliers,Blue,32 x 106 x 312 millimetres

I used this to fit the CV boot clip to a 2013 VW Beetle and it worked a treat. Without it there is no way of crimping the steel together. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of changing a CV boot.

3rd purchase attempt to get the job done , very expensive for a limited use tool .Alas as they say, you get what you pay for. Did the job well.

Good quality pliers, these are needed for oem quality clips on cv boots such as the GKN ones fitted to my Golf.

Robust bit of kit, can be used one handed, which is a bonus when the other hand is try to hold all the other parts together without it falling apart.

I had to send some cheap crimpers back, they were only good for, well not much. These have proper sharp ends (not too sharp) so they don't cut but properly squeeze and crimp the 'nobble' in the right place and keep the right shape. Definitely worth it even if you're only changing CV boots every 3-5 years.

Changing the CV Boots on the car, I needed a plier clamp that would close the clamps in the kit. The handle on these are smooth plastic?, so with oil on your gloves, you have no real grip of the handels. Also, they don't seem to amplify your effort very well, so it's very tough to get the clamp to close up.... I ruined three clamp clips trying to get them on, these pliers were just too hard - your strength is wasted while the clap clips are not that hard to deform.

Bought these to secure CV Boot Clips , I got a cheap set "free" with the clips I bought off another site and both the clips and pliers were useless. These do the job, they are expensive for the use they will get ,as I don't have many failed CV Boots ...luckily.
