Strong, suitable for toodlers, and looks great when varnished
This is so cute, and robust enough for me to feel confident when my 18-month old granddaughter swings in it. I varnished mine as soon as it arrived, which improved the appearance greatly. The only virtue of the untreated state it comes in is that you can decorate it as you choose, though it looks so good varnished that I'm not tempted to use coloured paint. Hanging it up is not trivial, as the ropes are terminated with simple rings, rather than some form of cleat that could be used to anchor it to a bough or the top of a swing A-frame.
