Guardian Senior Grain Free High Protein Premium Dry Cat Food 4lb Bag

Both of my senior cats enjoy eating this food. They seem to have soft, healthy coats and more energy. I feed them both wet and dry. Smells very fishy but they love it so it is whatever.

Dang expensive, but this food has a great looking ingredient list AND all 3 of our cats will eat the same food! quite a feat. I should not say that they like it, I mean the way they like junk treats or junky cat food, but they will eat it properly when they get ready for a meal. We have been feeding this food for 1 to 2 months now with good results. The list of ingredients in this food does not resemble most other cat kibble so i will see how we do long term. We had one cat that had started vomitting almost all of the cheaper food she preferred but we swithched to the Orijen Senior because it was the best looking ingredients of anything in the pet food market that I saw. Its also the most expensive, but its still way less than a trip to the vet. We are on our third or 4th bag, and I can't find these big bags locally.

I'm not claiming this the world's best cat food, but I am saying our pickiest eater was going after the unopened sack when he smelled it and ate it like he's not been fed in months If he's that sold at his age (13 years) this is going to be our standard dry cat food. Hoping the rest of the pride feels the same. The cost is worth it when we are throwing so much food we buy for them out. I must say when I checked the nutritional info on the bag I was favorable impressed. Free range chicken, wild caught fish - sounds healthy to me. And yes, all of the other 5 agree.

I have a 15yr kitty named Fiona. She was having a few issues so I decided to upgrade her cat food to help keep her spry. This is a great product. She eats it well and it's a very good quality. I have to constantly keep my dog from enjoying it as well. I also purchased Orijen's dog food for him. He prefers the cat food....go figure :P

Picky cats dug right in. Excellent nutritional values and ingredients I want for my senior cats and for them to avoid developing diabetes. Both cats have limited number of teeth due to one being abused and the other being feral for most of her life before they were adopted and they don’t have any problems chewing the kibble pieces.

Very surprised that my 9 year old cat loved this dry food. I bought the 4 pound size. Just reordered another bag. It costs more per pound inter smaller bag, but with only one cat when I buy the larger bag, I think it looses freshness and flavor because over time using the larger bag my cat becomes less interested in the food. Over the years, I've tried several of the Orijen dry foods flavor combinations. My Cat seems to prefer the Senior food which is great, and it is age appropriate for him!

I thought I was doing the right thing for my cats by buying this premium food. Please read ingredients carefully, Juniper Berry listed near the bottom is known as toxic for cats. One of my cats became deathly sick (as in 3k worth of vet bills and still counting: liver value were at deadly level, back to normal now that food has been removed), and another experienced some noticeable GI distress.
