Q: What is the difference between polvilho doce and polvilho azedo?

One is sour and the other isn't. I used half and half. The sour is the one for true authentic taste.

I have no idea. If kept in a cool dry place, probably almost indefinite. If you're worried, keep it in your fridge. It should keep nearly forever. It's not really "flour," it's actually a starch, like cornstarch, so take your cue from that. Just keep it well sealed in a zip-lock bag or some other container that's bug-proof!

Q: how do you prepare farofa?

Because of the translation sometimes it gets confusing. Polvilho (it is a starchy texture and made of the yucca) you use for the cheese rolls and others recipes that call for). Farinha is the part of yucca that they grated and dry out and toasted, you make farofa with sautéed onions, salt and bacon( if you liked it).

I agree with the reviews, polvilho Yoky is great and the best you can find, but IT'S NOT GLUTEN FREE.I'm Brazilian and have been eating it my whole life and assure you that. So if you're allergic to gluten or are in a low carb diet don't eat it.
