Not sure what the second knob was for
I broke my kitchen-aid adapter bolt so I bought this kit thinking the second one was for the speed handle. Even though I doubt I will ever break this one, I don't have a location for the second one. These knobs are all metal you will not need to replace the adapter once you buy this one.
