I bought the Magimix in January but promised myself I would get really used to it before I wrote a review .I owned an ageing basic food processor which eventually gave up the ghost . I think that washing it in the dishwasher which was acceptable did not really do it many favours .I read some reviews especially the Which guide and decided on the 4200 xl . First of all when it arrived it was HEAVY . So my first point would be that this is a machine the rightly should stay out !! I don’t think lifting it in and out of a cupboard is a great idea and definitely not practical. It is a very good looking machine so it’s no hardship having it out on show . I have also found it being easily accessible for me I use it far more .The machine is incredibly solid everything about it is quality from the firm seal on the lid to the perfectly arranged container of attachments . I am not going to bore you with the attachment just suffice to say everything is covered ! I love love the fine grater it’s superb .On a few reviews on Amazon it stated that you had to use all the bowls together well you don’t need to have all three bowls in but biggest one and smallest can be used without the middle bowl . Now I have used my magimix for everything and have found that perhaps making breadcrumbs or nut butter you will get a few bits that have escaped the smallest bowl into the biggest one it’s minor and unless your fastidious it only needs a dry cloth to get the crumbs out believe me it is no drawback . It washes very easily, remember the blades are very sharp though . It’s easily put together and the extra box with all the blades is easily stored .I bake often and went against all the rules and made scones in it from start to finish and they were the lightest ever . Everything I have made using the magimix has been amazing.From my last food processor to this one is like going from a Lada ( remember all the old jokes ) to a Bentley !! This is an amazing machine truly worth every single penny .Superb quality .

I just love it very powerful eats white onions like it's slicing butter-just love love love it. Packs away beautifully, looks great I just can't tell you enough how much I love this product. Very heavy, expensive but with a 30 year guarantee you can leave it to your children when you die! Buy it, but wait for prime day and but from Amazon warehouse.

Ordered it, got sent the wrong item a smaller cheaper version so requested return - 4 days I’ve been told it is going to be collected and no one has showed for a mistake that was their fault. Everytime I contact its ’it’ll be collected by tomorrow’.Actual processor that I ordered is great, but if I knew this hassle would be caused because Amazon will be quick enough to charge me if they don’t receive the wrongly delivered item back, I never would’ve bothered.

My second Magimix and still the best on the market. Robust and fairly simple to change the functions (where the cheaper models fail). Now comes with a rack to keep all the bits tidy.

I had been trying to talk myself out of buying a new magimix for the last 5 years, reasoning that it is eye-wateringly expensive and would I really use it that much. I already had a magimix le mini, owned it for almost 10 years, but after my neglectful use of the dishwasher when cleaning the poor thing, I had been through 2 bowls and two blades and it now needed a new lid and another new blade. I reasoned that I could have 3 other food processors for the price of this bad boy and I shopped around a lot! For the last 4 years for Christmas and birthdays, I asked family for money for a food processor, and in the seemingly month-long black Friday sale 2023, I caved and bought my magimix. Now that I have it out of it's box, I can safely say I regret nothing about it's purchase. I have made cookie mix in it, sliced up cabbage for coleslaw and kebab salad, grated huge quantities of cheese and blitzed up a whole punnet of mushrooms in one go without any complaints from Monsieur Magi! I even eyed him from across the kitchen after I'd spent 40 minutes wrestling two swedes from their skin (the vegetable, I must clarify).... I cut it in to feed-tube sized blocks, threw in the thick slicing blade in and watched in wonderland as the swedes disappeared in to uniformly sliced morsels in less than two minutes.Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is very much a luxury item. Yes, you will need to wash it all by hand unless you feel like replacing the parts every other year (and though the replacements are readily available, they are also eye-wateringly expensive). For a thirty-something with dodgy thumbs who loves to cook but has limited patience when it comes to prep, this is a game changer. Monsieur Magi, my home is your home!

When using the discs to slice and grate, loads of big pieces get into the bowl without getting sliced/ grated.needing to grate/slice the big pieces by hand because it won't get cut when put through the machineI definitely wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't buy this machine had I been aware of it.I would return it but unfortunately, it passed the 30-day return period and I only opened it yesterday.

This food processor is very heavy, so I keep it on my worktop. It looks good and I use it nearly every day now. I think having it there encourages me to use it and I probably wouldn't if it was away in a cupboard. Very quick and easy to make bread and cakes, also to chop and blend. I haven't made a successful smoothy yet, but for everything else, I have been really happy. I was concerned by reports that you have to wash all bowls even if you only use the small one, but they usually only need a quick rinse and dry, so I find it quite easy. I am pleased with this purchase and that I could pay for it monthly without any interest.
