I love this product. I make a delicious rub with it for steaks and burgers. I also use it to make a vegan beefy flavored bullion. This big bag seems to last forever!

I didn't buy this shiitake powder at Amazon; I bought directly from the fungusamongus website. I do like this powder, it smells strongly of shiitake, it is a fine grind, very powdery, so it is easy to incorporate it into stews, soups, meat loaf, etc., and I also like it as a cup of broth. I pour hot water over it, season it with Oriental mushroom extract for soups that you can buy on amazon, and I have a nice pick me up. If you want a real powdered mushroom, this is good. It is also invisible in soups/stews, no added texture, just good flavor.

The expiration date was two months prior to its sale.still smelled yummy so I put it in an airtight container in my refrigerator.
