A uniquely replayable game!
A unique little game! I admit that I was skeptical of this game when my wife wanted to try it (I mean, fireworks show? Really, how fun could that be?), but after trying it, I have to concede that it is both challenging and engaging. The 'everyone-sees-your-cards-but-you' mechanic is different and adds a level of mental strategy to the game that many games don't have. It can almost be a social deduction game as well, trying to figure out the why of what people are telling you about your cards: "Did you tell me that because I should play it? Or because I can get rid of it?"The only negative that I have observed is that it is easy to 'cheat', or at least make the game quite a bit easier by how much you give away with clues: "That ONE is a blue..." Depending on the group, I'd just be sure to set parameters for how hard/easy you want to make it and make sure everyone sticks with it!Recommend!

It's a nice change from competitive games but
This game has become a regular at our games nights. It's a nice change from competitive games but, unlike some other collaborative games, the set-up means you are on your own during your turn, forcing you to think hard about your move. The rules are simple enough to grasp quickly even for those who don't play games often. There is plenty of challenge for those who aim for a perfect victory, while the gradual score makes it rewarding to play even if your team isn't doing so well - you can always aim to get a higher score next time. Finally, the portability is a big plus.

Great game with friends!
A welcome break from games where people are against eachother. This co-op game will have you chasing the highest score again and again

Our favourite game, bar none
My wife and I actually own three copies of this game (one in the German version that comes in the tin) because on two occasions we've found ourselves spending a week away, had forgotten it at home, and were more than willing to spend 10 quid to have a copy on hand for the week. It's a cooperative game for 2-5 people that is very simple to learn but involves some pretty deep puzzle-like thinking to play well. If you're into any sort of puzzle-like games, I really would recommend giving it a try.

This game has a really cool concept---you cannot see your own cards
This game has a really cool concept---you cannot see your own cards. It's a very fun game, and is ideal for both the competitive and the easy going gamer. The only downside is that I've played it 4 times now and have never won, and my partner (a serious gamer) quickly found out at one point that because of a move we'd made early on in the game, it was now impossible to win. That's why it gets 4 out of 5 stars. But it is really fun to play, and difficult to win. Let that be a challenge to all gamers!

Very addictive game!
Hanabi is a cooperative card game with multiple ways you can increase the difficulty. It is extremely addictive and a nice mixture of luck and skill. We have a love-hate relationship with it; hanabi can be frustrating if your luck turns against you and sometimes you get 'hanabi-ed' and lose from nowhere. This all makes it super replayable! We prefer the game with two players but it works well with 2-5 players.

Fantastic display
Great little game which is a lot of fun. It is interesting having to work out that people are working with you, not against you and not to look at your cards (Geez, it is tempting!) Great for train journeys as it is small and easy to carry. Tip: It is easier with fewer players (2/3 instead of 4/5)

It can be frustrating for people who are hardened and aggressive strategists who feel that they have to 'win' at things - and I
This game really turns board gaming on its head in some respects. It can take a bit of practice, but with the right players can have some very nuanced strategy. It can really draw people into the moment and tensions run very high! It can be frustrating for people who are hardened and aggressive strategists who feel that they have to 'win' at things - and I love that.
