Has the power and functionality to get to cutting quick!
Super great product. If you do any construction type work then you need to buy this immediately if not sooner. Gets my wood cut up fast. Has the power and functionality to get to cutting quick! Just open the box, plug it in and you're gonna have full cutting capabilities quick. Fully recommend this and it has worked great since I've owned it. Still going strong in the durability and design looks like it will keep it going strong for many years. I'll never be stuck with low quality saw again. Highly highly recommend buying this. It is in my tool package as a critical item and the cutting rate is better than all saws out there.

Descent and Lightweight, and powerful enough
It's lightweight, simple and descent. Everything is good when I taken it out of the box, measurements are accurate and Zeroed I don't have to adjust anything, it's all pretty Leveled I checked it first with Rafter (Speed) Square and Framing Square it is Leveled and Zeroed and Squared. I made my test cuts of the Following: 2x4's Cross Cuts, 45° Bevel Cut, Rip Cut a 2x4x12inch long to turn it to 2x2's. I did some 45° Miter cut with 12" Speed Rafter Square, I cut some OSB's, 3/4" Plywood, I cross cut and do some 45° Bevel Cut on construction grade 2x6's, 2x10's and cross cut 2x12's, Crosscut Pressure Treated 4x4's flip it and run for 2nd pass same thing I did on pressure treated 4x6 Beam. And this saw passed All of my Test Cuts, it's got enough and Adequate Power and Torque. Blade Brake, is good enough, functional and the brake stops the blade after 2 to 2.5 seconds I timed it. Accuracy is Excellent! I got nothing else to say after it passed all of my test cuts. The power cord is so tough I also tested the saw for the pull out I immitated the DeWalt commerical and I hanged my saw in the 2nd Floor and the saw didn't failed and detached from the cord. It's a tough cord! Power? It's enough to do the the heavy taskings even though it's not as powerful as my Makita Hypoid Saw and my Makita 5007mg side winder that uses Helical Gear. This dewalt saw is good enough. Blower is another great feature to have it can blow the saw dust away after cuts just point turn it on and point the saw to the dust and it blows away. Only 1 issue that I have is the Dewalt stock Blade! It's suck! Because I got it Bent! I mean it's bent and it's Wobbling, so I just put the blade in the trash can't use it for safety reasons, I just replaced it with Craftsman 7-1/4 40tooth Carbide Blade and the Wobble is Gone! Overall this is a great all around saw. And it's Quiet too.

I Love This Saw
It has been at least 50 years since I bought a circular saw. I make furniture, so I do not use a circular saw often. My 50 year old Craftsman is still going strong, but I needed a saw to dedicate to a track system and the manufacturer recommended the Makita and the Dewalt. I chose the Dewalt because of the electric brake. When I first took it out of the box, I was concerned by the light weight. It did not feel substantial. Once I used it, however, I knew it is a quality tool. I installed a 40 tooth Dewalt finish quality thin kerf blade, just like the one I have on my Craftsman. I have used lots of other people's circular saws over the years, but never anything that runs so smooth. Unlike other reviewers, I am getting no wobble whatsoever. It works great with a TrueTrac system and the light weight certainly diminishes fatigue. The brake operates as promised; I am still surprised when the blade comes to a stop so quickly. I can certainly recommend this saw to anyone who uses a circular saw occasionally as I do. It feels substantial enough for a professional as well, but I cannot attest to that.

Extremely powerful
I've owned this saw for almost 2 years now and have used it enough to give an honest review. I primarily use it to cut sheet goods down to a more manageable size before hitting the table saw with them. In this role, the saw cuts through 3/4" marine and birch plywood effortlessly using the Freud D0760X blade. But my main reason for coming back to write this review is that I also use the saw to rip a straight edge on raw hardwood lumber I get from the mill in 9/4 thickness. With a 24T Irwin Marathon blade, this little saw rips through cherry, maple and walnut almost as easily as my 3HP table saw. It's honestly pretty darned surprising. The only negative I see is that the price has gone up over 30% since I purchased in Dec 2017, which is a substantial increase. That aside, I'm very happy with the power, weight, and quality of this saw and I would recommend it if your use is similar to mine.

Nice saw with minimal vibration
Initial review. Background: I have used circular saws since the 70's. I currently needed a saw that was light weight and less cumbersome than the heavy Skill 77 I currently use. The Good: This particular saw is relatively light weight and contains enough weight so the saw doesn't "walk" while using it. Cuts through 1" pine siding were effortless and clean. I am not using the blade provided but another with more teeth per inch for finish lumber. The Brake system is handy and stops the saw blade from turning in a fairly short manner after the trigger is released. The blade does not wobble or run out, providing a clean effortless cut. Power was plenty adequate for the light duty it was performing. The Bad (not really bad): The saw would be better with an illuminated (lit) projection cutting line. The guide is however easy to follow. When I went to mount the blade onto the saw after removing it from the box, the lock nut was so tight I coudn't remove it with a standard socket. It took my impact wrench and socket to remove it so I could mount the blade. I hope to update this review after more time with this unit.
