Q: If its sugar free, what is the alternative sweetener ?

Maltitol is the first listed. It is an artificial sweetener. Other ingredients, such as desiccated coconut have their own inherent sweetness. The cookies are not very good. They aren't sweet, they aren't buttery (have less than 2% butter), they are dry and rather hard. A total disappointment. I do not recommend them.

Wow, they really make that information hard to find. On the bottom of the tin, in tiny letters, it says, China. The price for those about doubled, they're good but not worth the new price.
