Fantastic spring, it was packaged nicely and cheaper than the parts that were labeled for use on my chainsaw. I like the wire they ship wrapped as a retainer, it makes it easy to place coiled and then release it in place to avoid time consuming respooling.

Fits Stihl BG55 leaf blower. Installed this 4 months ago.Been using it ever since with no issues. Priced great. Easy install.

Despite watching a you tube video, these things can be tricky to reinstall. Before cutting the straps that keep it coiled, orient the spring in the correct direction for your starter. Look to see where your pliers with the spring will fit into the recoil assembly. Use either locking needle nosed vice grips or heavy duty needle nose pliers to keep the spring coiled tightlyBEFORE cutting the straps. Should then lay right in, then slowly release the spring, holding it in place with a gloved finger. Note! The spring may want to release and go all over the place! I ended up having to make a jig from a board with 4 nails to rewind the thing.see photo. Outermost, allows you to rest as you rewind.

Spring works as if new. Installation went smooth.

The outside end of the spring was not compatible with my BG56A blower. I was able to bend it to fit, but it was almost impossible to keep it from springing. Good thing there were two because I ruined the first one. I will look for something else next time.

These worked well to help give my old blower new recoil. They were easy to install, and give the string a nice pull.
