These are not cheap, but for an easy to apply large dressing they are very good. They come with a two stage applicator: firstly you peel off the backing like a normal plaster. Apply to a clean (preferably sterilised) would and press down. Then remove a further backing back pulling a red tag - this leave the dressing held securely in place by a very fine adhesive backing which flexes with the skin, is indicated as waterproof, but at the same time allows the would to breathe. It says that you can leave the dressing in place for 72 hours - personally I thought that was a bit long, but I did leave it over a sensitive wound for 48 hours and it did the trick of allowing it to heal.

Needed waterproof dressings to protect a wound on a shoulder, which needed to be kept dry and covered for 14 days. I hadn't realised that each dressing had protective covers on both sides so my first attempt though secure was not as smooth as subsequent applications. Exceptionally waterproof, withstanding bathing and showering each day for 7 days and remaining in place. Brilliant value for money as they were so long lasting and I would recommend as a first aid kit essential.

These dressings are the only ones that have stood up to what they say, yes they are WATERPROOF.Highly recommended

The plaster covered the wound well and stayed on my leg even when I went swimming. It did appear to let the water in when swimming for a long period of time however for me it didn’t stop the wound from healing.

Excellent quality

After recently having surgery, I needed dressings that would last long and were waterproof. These were the only dressings that worked for me. Very comfy on the skin and sturdy.

Having had a minor skin operation I knew I was going to need some waterproof dressings post op so took a chance and ordered 2 x packs of these as I couldn't see anything suitable in the chemists. I actually put one on before my op to test my reaction as I can sometimes react to dressings....but all was good. Post op I am using them regularly in the shower and they have worked a treat. You do need to apply them exactly as per the instructions and if you don't I can see how they would crease and I would say they are definitely better used on an area where the skin is flattish. (the method for me was remove 1 side of the backing...place the dressing where you need it, remove the 2nd back covering, smooth out and then remove the top covering once it's all in situ). All I all very pleased and would definitely recommend.

They didn't work for me, but I wasn't using them 100% how they are normally used so I won't make a worse rating.
