Well balanced cleaver. Very sharp out of the box and easy to resharpen as well. At this price point it is excellent value for the price. I use it all the time for mainly vegetable preparation.

Sturdy and sharp. Wish there were a blade guard. Only complaint.Lighter than I thought.I just have to learn how to use it lol.

This is an incredibly solid cleaver that does its job beautifully. It is VERY SHARP OUT OF THE BOX, so treat the blade with care and respect the moment you pick it up. I also advise cleaning it carefully because it absolutely will slice chunks out of your sponge.Its weight is practical and helps it really chop through materials, but I have found my wrists growing tired with prolonged use. My strong hand wrist is weak from a previous injury, so you may not have that issue... but if you have weak grip strength or a previous injury to your hand or wrist it may be a little weighty.

I bought this knife is mainly for my kids to learn how to use the Chinese cleaver. For the price, I must say this is a wonderful buy.I also bought a Cangshan (highly-highly recommend this brand) Chinese cleaver, so they don't need to share. That's another review.The knife is just about right; not too light nor too heavy. it's fine for simple slicing task, and the blade is thick enough to chop (only) chicken bones. I am very finicky with my knives (I have about 40 of them). I ran it through my whetstones - 1000g, 4000g, and finished it with 8000g - it is a very sharp knife now.I highly recommend this knife to anyone who wants to explore the beauty of Chinese cleaver but not ready to commit $100s for one.
