This is one of the best of the best iron i have ever used. I am happy i done my research on this before purchasing it. It has not disappointed me at all. Iv recommended it to family and friends. Temperature level is the same for all types of material. No need to stress over changing temperature. It removes creases on delicate fabric to tough denim fabric on the same heat level without any trouble. The ironing has reduced dramatically in time and with the correct ironing cover for the ironing board, most clothes are ironed on one side and dont need to be ironed on the other side. I would say before ironing turn the iron on for at least 2/3 minutes so it heats up properly. This will prevent it from spitting water out. Once its fully heated it wont spit. The iron itself is light in weight which is easy on the hand arm and shoulder. But the base is heavy. It gets even heavier when it has water in the tank. Due to it being heavy and not easy to move around i have bought the iron a trolley from ikea (NISSAFORS) to store it and move it about with ease. It is easy to store the cord, it wraps around the iron. I can see this iron going along way.

I’m very happy with the Tefal ProExpress Protect Steam Generator Iron. It’s noticeably more powerful than other similarly priced competitors and makes ironing feel effortless. The steam performance and pressure are excellent – more than adequate for even tough fabrics. The build quality is solid and the unit feels robust. It’s clearly engineered with durability and function in mind. The only minor downside is the somewhat old-school design, especially the buttons, which could look more modern. That said, the more flashy, colorful alternatives I’ve seen often disappoint in performance – this one doesn’t. I ended up throwing away a well-known competitor's model that I had for five years, as its performance had dropped significantly and the calc-cleaning method was far less effective than Tefal’s. This unit seems focused on doing its job well without unnecessary "show-off" features – and that’s exactly what I wanted.

There a various pros and cons with this iron but overall it worked well on first use. It is very good at getting creases out of fabric. Even heavy duty material like duvet covers that have never been ironed before. This was a test that it passed with flying colours. It is it must be said, extremly heavy especially when filled with water and fabric can get quite hot when steam ironing. I was very pleased with the instruction visual, simple and in full colour and uniquely without sounding bigoted I hope, in only English. One would presume the instructions in other countries benifit from the same service. Which is good. It got through a load of heavy ironing very quickly. So much so that I would not dream of going back to my old iron.

Very good quality, its worth the price.

My existing one blew up and wanting to stay with same brand, I have bought this one. Its brilliant as a steamer and makes fast work of ironing. The iron is nice and light. There doesn't seem to be a way of having less steam and power so you need to be careful of some delicates and watch your fingers as the steam output is high. Others have said about the water vessel having a sharp edge and its true which is uncomfortable when you refill it. The large vessel is great and I use half tap water and half deionised water which seems to prevent brown staining and the cleaning process is simple and effective. Overall its not a cheap purchase but I would recommend it. I do a lot of dressmaking and it's a godsend for steaming seams and upright steaming.

Seems better than the previous model that didn’t’t work any longer. Ample steam, and temperature hotter than the previous one, which I would have expected to last longer than it did. Have had two previous Tefal’s, both of which had the protective sleeve to the steam pipe shrink significantly at the iron end, which was extremely annoying because, using the iron, inevitably the uncovered pipe was far too hot to the hand, wrist and arm. I am hoping that this does not recur with this purchase. Really don’t know why I did buy the same brand in retrospect, perhaps discounted price.
