Seems pretty well made with good selection of brass screws supplied. Had to adapt the 'hole' from the old door lock just a little. Job took about an hour, including tydying up. Wife pleased, looks good

I had to replace a similarly styled en suite bathroom handle with lock which dated back thirty years. This product is a pretty close match (the handle is a little chunkier, and the height and width of the fascias are a couple of mm smaller), although it was far from a simple replacement job (I was expecting half an hour, but it ended up being three whole hours). The panel that screws into the door jamb is a totally different shape and size, so there was a lot of faffing about chiseling out wood, re-positioning, and making new screw holes in order to make the new one fit. However, the main fault is that the locking mechanism is, as others have noted, slightly out of line - so you cannot get it to fit nice and flush with the door handle fascia. I have got it working and locking, but the turn-lock part sticks out further than it should, making it look a bit untidy. I will have to try nudging the two fascias about a bit (to see if I can get things to line up a touch better) and also see if I can also file down part of the hole that the locking mechanism fits through. So, the job is basically done, but it was far from easy - and that slightly misaligned locking mechanism is a real nuisance.

The handle and the mortice holes do NOT line up correctly. It is therefore impossible to fit these locks and handles correctly. The handles and thumb locks are in the centre of the mounting plate, but the holes for the two bars in the lock are offset !! Look absolutely ridiculous when fitted, handles completely off square to try to make them work. I'm not happy as I had to fit them because of time constraints and they look ridiculous !!!

Slightly lighter in weight than previous similar handles I’ve fitted so not sure these are the best quality handles I’ve had or how robust these will be over time, but the finish looks good for the price, no surface faults or scratches. The inner spindle was a little longer than usual - by a few millimetres so the handles wouldn’t fit flush to the door. Fortunately had the old spindle to hand which was shorter and fitted ok but was slightly tight vs the spindle holes in the new handles so the result is quite a stiff mechanism. Overall good for the price.
