Brilliant comfort and speed.
I cycle approximately 70 miles a week. I'm not a racer, but like to ride at a good pace (I average 16mph).I rode my bike with many different tyres before sticking with the continental gp5000s. These are great for most months in the UK, but just a little to risky for those winter months. So I've tried many different tyres, which although may offer fantastic puncture protection, their rolling resistance is soo high you can feel the significant difference in speed. These 4seasons fly. And so far I've done a couple of grand fondos, riden in rain, down country lanes, across light gravel and sub-zero temperatures. No punctures yet, but I've only had them a few months, so only time will tell.Another plus, they were so much easier to get on the rims compared to many other brands (including continental's very own 'contact city', which is an absolute pig to mount).Quick tip for you cycling novices, many punctures are caused not due to the tyres, but due to riding with the tyre pressure too low. But even a a relatively high pressure (I'm riding at 110 psi with 28mm width), these are very comfortable and grippy tyres.I think I've now found my winter tyres of choice. And if you're not a racer, then these would most probably be all the tyre you'll ever need.

Incredibly hard to get on!
This is my second continental 4 seasons and they are so hard to get on my wheels! 3 days of patience and pain! But they are finally on! dont know why they make them so tight!

However I had one problem with the front fitted tyre which started to absorb water and perished and wrinkled but I put this down
I bought a pair of these 4 years ago and only had 5 punctures travelling on road , and canal paths and rough chippings but I did get some minor slashes on the sides and where they contacted the road. During this time I had side panniers each one fully loaded with about 20 kilos and top bag loaded with 5 kilos . However I had one problem with the front fitted tyre which started to absorb water and perished and wrinkled but I put this down to an unfortunate bad batch during manufacture as the main load bearing rear tyre did not get this problem.. Both tyres have reached their road worthiness after this period so I am investing in the same tyre new as they have lasted longer than other road tyres I have used in the past and I had a lot less punctures. You get what you pay for and I was using three sets a year using other cheaper various brands covering between 30 and 60 miles a day but did however suffer bad slipping on during icy conditions but were ok otherwise. Another important thing is to keep the tyre inflated to the correct pressure otherwise the speed performance drops and the more weight you carry the more often this has to checked but deflate them slightly during icy weather as this tends to reduce slipping because more tread is in contact with the ground but your speed will reduce slightly but only a mad man would ride at speed during these conditions.

Confidence inspiring comfort!
I can't believe how much difference these made to my comfort and confidence! I run 25's on my commuter and had 23's on the weekender. I just swapped to these bad boys in 28 with 85psi and my word they are so comfortable. They grip the road extremely well and because of the extra cushion you get less road noise. Suffice to say the commuter will be getting the same!

Five Stars
Did 400 miles over 5 days and didn't get any punctures, exactly what I was hoping for.

Great rollers
Roll really well. Might give them five stars after a few months use.

Punctures
Contrary to most other reviews, I haven't been that impressed with these. I have recently suffered some nasty cuts in the rear tyre leading to 3 or 4 punctures. They may be light and grippy but they wear extremely quickly and Continentals side walls are shockingly thin. I am always getting slashed sidewalls. I was more impressed with GP 4000 700x23 tyres with the black chilli compound. I have to throw out my rear tyre after about 1000 miles as it is now covered in cuts and no amount of superglue can fill all the holes. If you want durability in winter don't get these. I have put my old Specialized Armadillos back on my winter bike. That should stop the punctures. Anyone else notice the sidewall issues with Conti.
