IT'S A PARKER, SO THERE YOU GO
This is a good pen, not a great one, a good one. It's solidly built and it's a Parker. I had Parker pens when...well it doesn't matter but it was a long time ago so I have an affinity for them. Everything about this pen is good, but it doesn't measure up to greatness as a writer which is all I want out of a fountain pen in the end. It needs help with first strokes of a sentence and that bugs me. You have to coax it to write sometimes and that bugs me as well. However, when it does write it writes well. Again, it's nicely built, comes in a great magnetic flip top box with a converter and a couple of cartridges, maybe more, I've forgotten. I would say it's a tiny bit this side of being worth the money, i.e. if I had to pay any more for it, I wouldn't buy it.

Nib is leaking and bends a lot
This pen was bought for a friend of mine, who is currently in the UK, and who has asked me to pass the message below:---------I have been using Parker pens since 2010. Recently (last August) I was robbed (inclusive of the pen), and bought this pen as a replacement. Unfortunately, the nib in this model is the worst one I have ever encountered - it leaks on the top side (see picture), and scratches the paper and does not deliver enough ink during writing. Furthermore, it seems to be extremely bendable - much more so than all the other Parker nibs I had used.

Had to return
I really hate that I have to return this pen. I have written with Parker pens, pretty much exclusively, since my dad gave me my first one in 1962. I have a collection of six Parker's, and one of those will be in my pocket daily. I'll replace this one with another Parker, just not this fountain pen. The ink will not flow for the initial letter of almost every word, whether that's a downstroke or a stroke to the side, and that's whether it's a good Crane notecard or a check. It did improve marginally when I squeezed the cartridge slightly. I had to do that when the nib dried out completely after lying on it's side, covered, overnight. The fit and finish on this pen are beautiful, but it is a tool for writing after all.
