Quality Camera Built to last
The media could not be loaded. Straight out of the box ready to use, a few simple questions, language, date and time and this device was ready to use.First impression when you open the box is that it has a quality feel which is lightweight and also comes with a very handy storage case.Simple to use and there is plenty of options in the menu system to personalise as you wish, as you can see from the pictures and the video.Easy to use one handed tooThe camera is rechargeable and comes with the mains adapter and a usb cable you can charge via the usb or the mains. The usb cable also allows you to transfer the images to your computer. The battery lasted at least 3 hours without charging it and using it straight out of the box.The trigger button allows you to take a picture, Images are saved on an SD card which is also supplied and shows all the details that were captured on the screen including max and min temperatures.Everything about this unit feels quality and built to last.

Awesome, lightweight and superb quality!!
The Topdon TC004 is now my go to thermal camera. It comes well packaged, with a nice carry case and 16gb memory card so it can be used straight from the box. Pressing the trigger allows you to save images and keeping hold of the trigger allows recordings to be made. There is a mains charger and USB cable in the box. The USB cable can be used to hook up to a computer and transfer the saved images/videos to your computer. When you first unpack the camera and turn it on, you have to set up a couple of things such as the language, date and time. Insert the memory card and you are away.Once on you can change image settings such as the palette which allows you to change through 4 different settings, changing the colours used to show the temperature. As you can see in the images it picks up heat in detail. The hand photos are residual heat left from my hand on a cold windowsill. The camera really does see what your eyes can't.I have used this camera to help identify battery drains on cars at work. As you can see it picks up on anything that has current running through it creating heat. I have also used it to find where heat is escaping from my house.Overall I am very impressed and would definitely recommend to others

Can’t fault this at all
Well to start with the children were far more excited than I was when this came through the door lol, they have successfully detected all the cold spots in their rooms and you should have seen their faces when they discovered they could see where they had been standing moments before. Anyway back to the product its self, unboxing was quick and easy, put the instructions to one side as I do lol and switched it on. After a short load screen as the device calibrated itself it then takes you through a couple of settings, date etc.. and you are all done and ready to use. Picture quality is great with several different colour options and all temperatures are accurate with high/low and central temperatures displayed on the screen. So far I have been able to locate water pipes, hot and cold around the house under floors and in the walls, I’ve been able to locate where drafts are coming through windows and door etc.. and see how efficiently my house is holding heat, this has been especially helpful as we have just had an air source heat pump installed so need an efficient house to go with it. Also perfect for detecting leaks/ faults within the engine bay of the car. I’m sure I’ll find other uses for this too, I’m in the process of building myself a workshop in the garden so will be using it in insulated process of this too.To summarise, easy to use, useful and handy thing to have about the house and work van.

Infinite uses, precise readings
From checking doors and windows for heat loss or seeing how cold your nose is haha to checking car engine for possible coolant issue and plumbers checking a boiler, this camera covers it all and very precisely too. I've had a cheap one before but that wasn't as feature rich as this one. The screen on the back is very good with numbers being clearly legible but you can also link it to a laptop and bring up a live camera feed on a bigger screen using the supplied usb cable. With it's built in tripod mount point you can take sharp photos and videos on the laptop or by tapping or holding the trigger. Change the colour of heat on the screen with 4 different pallet colours. In the box comes a smart carry case, some literature, a mains plug and a 16GB memory card so you can store footage on board.Personally I like having the three pointers on the screen showing coldest, hottest and where you are pointing so you get a good picture if heat is escaping and precisely where from. Similarly you can use it to pin point a cold spot - the uses are endless. The camera comes in a hardy body that feels rugged and will last a good while. Overall I'm very impressed by the quality of this camera and the kit it's supplied with. Well done Topdon!!!

multiple uses
I have only had it a few days and already I am being badgered for a review so here goes. So far I've used it for locating hot pipes under the floor in the bathroom and I find I can see through the plaster to the breeze blocks used in my inner wall of the house... being able to make out an outline of where the block' s mortar is. I use it for finding the cold spots in my bay window. I can also see where the celling joists are. So that's it for now. It seems fairly easy to use and I recon there will be other uses for it.

High resolution thermal camera with rugged design.
I haven't had chance to use this in a work environment yet but from using at home i'm very impressed with this thermal camera. The resolution is much better than others I have used in the past meaning the picture quality is excellent. Easy to use with a simple trigger to take photos & videos. There is a 16gb memory card included to record onto & also a carry case & charger/cable. Appears to be very rugged & a has rubberised grip. The only missing feature in my opinion is that it doesn't seem possible to fix the temperature range, it always adapts that temperature range to what is in view, but this won't be an issue for most people & may come out in a future update.
