Just the right amount of salt in Pop's Corn Light Butter
I've tried almost every microwave popcorn available anywhere to find the perfect balance of flavor, oil and salt. Overly salted popcorn -- overly salted food in general -- is unpalatable to me. Sodium listings are misleading and erroneous. Most grocery store-bought popcorn has too much salt and poor quality control, even if low sodium numbers are listed in the nutrition information. Pop's Corn Light Butter, on the other hand, delivers. First, I tried Pop's Corn Unsalted. Normally I would prefer it, but it tasted like cardboard and I tossed all of the boxes out. I was pleasantly surprised that the Light Butter is indeed very lightly salted, and very lightly oiled. Unfortunately palm oil, but this is almost impossible to avoid in any microwave popcorn. In short, this is the best I've found.

Simply wonderful!
My teenage son is a popcorn addict. He is willing to eat it no matter how fake, plasticy, or artificial the popcorn may be, but as a parent, I'm not comfortable with most of the popcorn on the market. The list of chemicals in the ingredients does NOT inspire confidence in the competition! This popcorn, however, is from a brand I trust, and it has natural ingredients. It also tastes and smells delicious! We actually buy it by the case, my son loves it so much. Give it a try, you will be surprised just how good quality ingredients can taste!

Tastes like old fashioned popcorn
I am delighted with my new Pop's corn. I eat a bag of popcorn just about every day at work because it's only 2 weight watcher's points and it takes a long time to eat, and is relatively healthy. I had been buying a different brand but decided to try Newman's Own because 1) it's organic and 2) the ActII was often good but occasionally not so good, so the quality control was questionable. Anyway, I have only had about 5 bags of this but so far it's very good. I like my popcorn slightly browned (much to the chagrin of my coworkers sometimes) because it improves the texture of it for me, but I am happy to report I like this popcorn without "burning" it because it pops up light and fluffy. So I recommend it.

I like the popcorn but I cannot get through a full bag. I love that it is organic and for that reason I would continue to buy. It does just lack a small amount of flavor

one bag has 2.8 servings, which makes portion control/calorie counting difficult
I like to snack on popcorn at work, mid-morning or so. You can eat a lot of popcorn without worrying about too many calories. (I lost 45 pounds last year counting calories and find that I need to continue counting to maintain my weight.) I am one of those people who seems to do better if I am constantly eating, and popcorn also counts as a whole grain.Anyway, I've been trying the various microwave popcorn products that aren't loaded with "butter," and this one, while generally high quality, is kind of irritating. If you look at the nutrition information, although there are 112 calories per serving, there are 2.8 servings per bag. Not even a round number. So it is kind of difficult to measure out a precise amount unless you bring your food scale to work (or wherever you happen to be) or use a measuring cup (the food scale being more accurate in this instance). Plus, even then, if you only want one serving, you still have to pop the whole bag and the rest is left. You can give the rest away or just trash it. I find myself guesstimating that I've eaten half the bag, or about 1.4 servings.Anyway, this is not the best product for portion control. As far as microwave popcorn goes, it is pretty average. If you are looking for great flavor and don't care about calories, go with the Quinn popcorn. If you are worried about counting calories, there are products from Act II, Jolly Time, and Pop Secret available here, where the entire bag is one serving. This is organic, so if that is important to you, it could still be worth your while to purchase.Flavor-wise, this is OK. I guess because the butter is "light," it is not the most flavorful stuff in the world. Sodium in one serving is not so bad, but do keep in mind what I said about serving and portion size earlier. If you eat the whole bag, you're getting like 300 calories and close to 500 mg of sodium, which is quite a lot. It doesn't taste all that salty, or at least the salt flavor isn't overwhelming.I do like other Newman's Own brand products, but I can take or leave this one. I have a whole case to get through (I've finished 3 boxes so far but thrown about half of each bag out for portion control reasons) but I probably won't buy it again. I don't hate it, but am looking for something where I don't have to do algebra to calculate calories. (You can see the full nutrition facts panel and ingredients list if you zoom in on the product images. Avoid if you have dairy or soy allergies or are vegan, FYI.)

Fantastic Healthy Snack
I originally got this popcorn at a local grocery, but found myself buying it almost weekly, so decided to purchase in bulk here on Amazon to save a bit on cost and time. I found I could save about $0.30 to $0.50 a box. The case of twelve boxes lasts me 2-3 months, which is well withing the shelf life of the popcorn. The case I received in February 2011 had an expiry date of September 21, 2011.I have a 1000w microwave, and it cooks in about 120-150 seconds, and burns in about 180 seconds. It has a light corn flavor, is not heavily salted, and has a nice crisp texture that makes it a joy to eat.
