You Come from Greatness: A Celebration of Black History: A Picture Book

I bought this book for my niece, and she loved it the pictures were absolutely beautiful. It’s so nice to see books that someone has put a lot of thought into it. Thank you 🙏

This book has great content and the pictures are colorfully vibrant. It’s empowering and inspiring to little kids and reinforces the idea that as the oldest people on the planet it’s in your dna to be great.

So beautiful, uplifting & educational. Very different from all the books I've purchased for my daughter. Every page is examples of brilliant Black people throughout history that will inspire your kids to see that nothing is out of their reach. It can be read to very young kids as is but can also be a jumping off point for older kids to study individuals highlighted in the book. And woven through it all is Black pride centered around gratitude for God. Just honestly the perfect book.

I just bought two copies of this book, one for our home library and one for a friend frustrated by the lack of children's literature with characters that look like her family. It's a beautiful story with beautiful artwork. The author clearly understands the logical progression of a child's awareness and develops the story accordingly. My 8-year-old loves it and reads it on her own. My friend's 3-year-old asks for it at bedtime. Highly recommend.

Great book. I bought 2.

Even as an adult, this book was very informative for me, as I didn't even know of some of the historical figures who are mentioned in it. Vibrant colors and a powerful message..it's actually very moving.

Could have been a little more kid friendly

There bright illustrations really brought the words to life in this book. I learned a couple of things I didn’t know or had forgotten, gave me some good memories and got a little Misty eyed but in a good way. It’s a great black historical Christian book for kids but an adult can also get joy from it!
