It does the job- I thicken up liquids for my toddler that has trouble swallowing.

Works well

This thickener is special. Unlike others I've used and were cheaper, you don't really have to use a lot before it thickens. Although it might seem like it is more expensive than other brands, it really isn't when you don't have to use so much per ounce of liquid. Love this for my mother!

I use it multiple times a day for thickening beverages to help with swallowing. I use a small hand mixer for 30 seconds to activate it and it looks almost clear and is basically flavorless. I tried a liquid thickener for awhile and it worked well but had a shorter shelf life and i like to keep some in the rv, cars, fanny pack, back pack and travel toiletrie bag and I dont worry about it going out of date as quickly.

There are many different liquid thickener brands out there that have great reviews, but this one has only a few reviews on Amazon, so I wasn't sure about it. However, after doing some research, I read many positive comments about it on the internet and went for it! Also, Nestle is well known for its quality food products. Even though the container is really small, it shouldn't be something to worry about, as you would be using really small amounts of it to reach the desired consistency. We usually use one to two teaspoons of it to reach a mild-medium jelly-like consistency for a regular-sized smug. Keep in mind that for it to dissolve well, you would have to use it on cold liquids. If you are going to use it on hot liquids, I recommend first dissolving some of the powder in a small amount of cold liquid and then adding the mix to the hot liquid so you don't get lumps on it. Also, you need to wait about 3 to 5 minutes for it to work. It doesn't change the color of the liquids and keeps the flavor almost intact. Therefore, I absolutely recommend this product!

It works okay for a thickener, however; when I use it in my pureed soup to thicken, I have to wisk it when mising up and also when getting ready to eat because of clumps in it that didn't want to disolve all the way for some reason.
