I needed these ferrules for some German lights that had a spring clamp mechanism to hold the wires to power the lights. Solid wire can go in directly. Stranded wire needed a ferrule crimped on the wire. This clamp could not use the insulated ferrule so I was glad to find these uninsulated ones. The ferrule also needed to be very small in diameter and fit #18 gauge stranded wire. I also found that the square ferrule crimp tool could still leave the wire too large to fit. I ordered a hexagonal crimp tool for this application.The description said they are made of copper but I could not verify that. I used a file to remove some of the plating and it looked like brass - which is ok too.I also appreciate the kit has assorted sizes. I may not use all sizes but it is nice to know I am covered with this one handy Kit.

I like the quantity of each size. They do their job. The case is a little lacking, kind of flimsy. All together, a decent purchase, doing what it was meant to do.

THESE AARE GREAT FOR TIGHTER SPACE LIKE MOLEX PLUGS AND RELAYS THE 10 AMP KIND THAT HAVE A SET SCREW AND CLOSE TOGETHER TERMINALS .

You can never have enough wire ferrules, and this kit contains a good assortment of the most needed.

Great for stranded cable. Permits secure attachment to screws and clamps.

Don’t waste your money on this. Absolute garbage. No matter how well you crimp these, your wires will come out easily; reason is the material is incredibly thin so it does not retain strength against the wire.

I chose this wire ferrule kit because it had both aluminum and copper plated ferrules. This kit has high quality parts that work very well. It has a good variety of sizes from large 22-18 AWG to 16 AWG. I recommend it.
