I've been waiting a few years to get one of these. It is loud on this highest level. I purchased this particular brand to remove the pungent smell of cigarette smoke. It seems to work when no one is smoking. But when someone smokes it takes a bit to rid the smell. I picked this brand specifically to remove the cigarette smell because I'm a non smoker in a house of smokers. Overall I am pleased. I'm sure my expectations were too high to not have to smell it at all. But the air does seem more clean.

The fan had an off balanced loud noise. The plastic fan was warped. Manufacturer didn't provide part replacement so needed to return whole unit. If this was past return window shipping whole unit back for warranty claim would be expensive.

I don't like leaving this review, but this Air purifier did nothing for my apartment except spread bad odors around. It didn't clean the air, it actually made it worse. For the price, it's not worth it.

sounds like a window air conditioner and the fan is out of balance making the unit vibrate.
