JBL Go Ultra Portable Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker with Aux-In Compatible, Black

I purchased this item just on the reputation that JBL products have. I own a JBL charge and really enjoy listening to the spotify on it, as it is easy to use and the bass and treble are silky.The JBL go is great for a little tiny box. Yes, it will never have the bass of the charge, but the sound for acoustic beatles songs is true to tone; the only down side is a tiny bit of snow in the background and shallow bass. Dare I call it tinny? Listening to the spotify for an hour I thought it is not really tinny. Maybe just under powered. It sure can get loud enough for a dance off though. I would equate it with a mid range sony radio.Set up is as simple as turning it on. I did charge the battery first. The stubby cable must be high speed as one hour appeared to fill it up. The tablet picked it up no problem. I intend this for a non-tech savy person, so I think it will be a big step up from a cruddy radio with tinny, crackly sound.The design is very simple. One side has a deeply inset ring for a strap. The buttons on top are integrated into the skin, with the blue tooth, minus, plus and speaker phone button molded into the skin. The other side has the micro usb and AUX in ports. I found the price difference across the colours interesting. It feels solid enough. I am still amazed such a small speaker can produce the quality of sound it does.I did not try the phone call setting.

Love it, tiny with quite a bit of umpf, not too much as it wont be able to cope but if you dont need anything super clear on very high volume than that would be perfect. I use it at work and it does a great job for smallish room at medium volume. Had it few years now and very happy with it.Only thing I would prefer the speaker to have is the level of battery life so i wont suddenly get a red light and it'll switch off soon after.

Purchased this to be used with an Ipad Mini.ConnectionConnection was seamless with Ipad Mini 4 and Iphone 5 via bluetooth.SoundSound is fantastic when watching youtube/videos. Much better then the speakers on the Ipad mini.Sound a little too base heavy for me when listening to musicSound is rather boomy and muffled when used for Apple Facetime video which was rather surprising. The same goes for phonecalls.BuildNice heft to the speaker. All screwed together really well. Buttons and lights are all discreteCharge holds well requiring recharging once a week. My usage vary from 15 minutes to 1 hour a day in the course of the week.ConclusionWould recommend if to be used for watching videos or listening to music.Sound could do with more treble and less bass. Mids are wonderfully clean and distortion free.

Really good sounding speaker, not heavy on the bass but not lacking either, place the unit in a corner or with its back panel about 1-2cm away from the wall and you get a nice balance of bass mid and top end, battery lasts well but keep in mind if you have it turned up near its max volume level for long periods it will drink the battery in a few hours if you are using Bluetooth for connectivity instead of a cable, it's a dinky little unit but packs quite a punch for its size.Longer battery life would always be a plus with products like this but what you get here is a good quality speaker that sounds great, works well, looks good, I shall be purchasing another to make a matching stereo pair.

This is a fantastic product. It’s small and light and easy to use. I was worried that it wouldn’t let out enough sound, especially considering it’s size. But it is more than loud enough to bring some atmosphere to a small gathering or picnic. It looks sleek and due to its small size very easy to pop in your bag! I can only award maximum stars!

This JBL Portable speaker is perfect for on the go listening, the bass is amazing and the sound is crisp!I have dropped it a few times, so I can definitely say that this speaker is very durable.It has shock absorption material around the speaker, which makes it truly portable!When it came it worked perfectly, the Bluetooth was very easy to set up, it works with any phone and pairs almost instantly!Would definitely recommend!

Excellent little Bluetooth speaker. Good full sound and a decent overall volume. I'd say play time via Bluetooth is more 2 1/2 hrs rather than the claimed 3 1/2 hrs tho.

Amazing for the price, the bass is quite powerful on this little thing and it can go very loud without becoming distorted. When using a sin wave tone the higher end seems to lack in comparison to other speakers like but when playing general music its perfect for the main frequency range you need for music.I found about these because my brothers girlfriend had one of these and when I asked how much it was I was shocked that it was only £20 and ordered one myself.
