Took me a little while to get used to these shoes, but I really love them now. I bought them primarily to use for agility with my very fast Border Collie - the brand was recommended by friends. Grip is fabulous, and they really hug my feet so I feel supported. They're great for walking, although not waterproof, but fabulous for country terrain. Not cheap but recommended. *They have a kind of thread, rather than laces, that you tighten and loosen. Found this odd at first, but am now a convert, they never loosen or come undone, so no tripping over laces.

Cross country running spikes don’t have enough cushioning for me. I’ve experienced stress fractures in both feet and now avoid running as much as possible on the road. I wear Hoka Tectons for trail runs/races which are fantastic but not sufficiently grippy for cross country races which are often very hilly, muddy and wet. I bought these Salamon trainers specifically for this purpose and they did not disappoint! They are light, super cushioned and the lugs are perfectly grippy on all the varying terrains of a cross country race. These were put to the test recently where the course was so boggy lots of competitors lost their spikes. Mine stayed firmly on tho and may have benefitted from the snug and secure toggle laces. All in all I’m delighted with my purchase and can highly recommend.

Great item fits perfeck

I love running trails and my local trail is always super muddy and doesn’t have a flat section to it’s name. These are the first proper running shoes I’ve bought in an age and I’m so happy. Where as I was slipping and sliding everywhere before, these shoes have given me incredible grip in even the muddiest of conditions. I also run with my dog attached to my waist, so they hold their grip even when he’s too enthusiastic to listen to slow down commands. I haven’t had one slip which for me is such a game changer. They’re also very light so I don’t feel like I’m dragging weight on my feet. They definitely fit snuggly when I first got them ( I got my usual size) but after a few runs they have moulded perfectly to my feet. In order to get to my muddy trails I have to take the neighbourhood paved paths and they also perform well on these harder surfaces. Very happy with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent walking trainers. They're comfortable and offer excellent grip over rugged terrain. I live on the coast and walk my dog along the coast path, traversing steep, rocky and craggy. They are an ideal weight for walking. The are reliable over slippery wet rocks. The gore-tex works perfectly. I haven't submerged them but I walk through long wet grass.Most of all I find them comfortable. I have worn them most of the summer and they don't overheat my feet. They didn't rub from day one. The speed laces or drawstrings w/e they're call are working well.These are my regular size and they fit perfectly.I'm happy with the quality, they're expensive but it's worth it as the quality is so high.
