Love the lights and the options for use, but you need to know that the type of battery will make a difference on how well they work! I had used some cheap off brand batteries first and used the lights intermittently. After keeping track, those batteries only lasted about 21 hours before the lights started not working correctly. I went to well known brand batteries and continued to use them intermittently. Those batteries lasted about 34 hours before having issues. (The problem wasn't that the lights grew dim, but they would just stop working all together.) So, that being said, for inexpensive battery operated lights they work well enough. If you are looking for more than that out of them, go to something more expensive or plug in types.

I was looking for something I could use outside for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas that wouldn't require running extension cords. These fit the bill!They are easy to use, the remote is great (though you need to be sure the receiver is not covered or buried). One remote will work multiple sets of lights.The description notes 6 hours of runtime on 3AA batteries but I've had them going for 4 hours a night for about a week and haven't needed to change the batteries yet. I actually purchased a few extra sets since I liked these so much.

I lined the inside of my bathtub with these lights and I love them. They do seem to have a mind of their own and will random change color and speed. I've also dropped the remote in the tub MULTIPLE times 😂 and after removing the battery and letting it dry it works just fine.

The media could not be loaded.  I must have like 6 strings on my 6’ Christmas tree. I wouldn’t recommend for this use. Next year I’ll buy different lights and find some other use for these. They aren’t bad lights just not for this application. The batteries die waaay to fast for Christmas tree use, and the remote will turbine on but the other off. Then one strand stopped giving off the color I wanted so one strand was all mismatched. A lot of fuss.

The colors these lights produce are wonderful. The remote makes them dim-able, they can pulsate, etc. I bought these specifically because of the timer function on the remote. The remote timer is super easy to use. However the batteries die within a few weeks if you have the timer on continuously every day.I am updating this review after 3 more weeks of use after I posted this original review. I changed the batteries on the lights because the batteries were leaking fluid, so I thought that was why the lights had died so quickly. The batteries i changed were from a new pack. After about 2 days, the lights died again. I opened the battery pack, and the batteries had leaked fluid AGAIN. I ended up having to throw these lights away. I am disappointed, as they were so beautiful and convenient with the timer. I put them inside some DIY hanging mason jar sconces.

We purchased 4 of these and stuffed them inside metal letters that says LOVE, one inside each letter. It hangs above our bed. It came out exactly as I imagined. The remote control actually works on all 4 of them at the same time too! This was a plus because I can turn them all on and off at the same time or change the colors.The only downfall is my phone messes with them. If I touch different buttons on my phone it turns them on and off or changes the colors-- The power button, the home button and the alarm effects the lights. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. So when my alarm goes off in the morning the lights start blinking or if I check the time on my phone the lights will come one. I would give the product more stars if it weren't for this.

I bought these to use with my Halloween display and was disappointed to find that the colors orange and yellow both show up as green. The light is VERY cool when on "white"; almost florescent. Other than that they work well and I settled for using red. I'll be happy to use these during other holidays since all the other colors work just fine. Over all happy.
