There are a few American words ie…flashlight and dime candy But mostly basic English short sentences. My 3 year old reads several books before bed and because short stories he doesn’t get bored. He has learnt so many new words and has started to become very confident. Words are also easy for him to sound and work out what they are. Factual, educational and fun
My three year old loves these books. Even her one year old sister enjoys looking at them. I'm not systematically teaching my three year old to read but adding a few common words to her reading vocabulary each week. These books support that approach and I'm sure they'd suit a more formal approach too. What I really love about the books is that they're based on factual information. I'm not into fantasy type books for my children with talking animals and magical events. These books have none of those things but teach children about seasons, birthdays, weather, hibernation, movement etc. Very educational and interesting.

Great way to start reading
I have started to introduce reading to my kids and they found these books really fun. There are instructions suggesting the way to do it and it worked! Many different topics and there are various difficulty levels. I would recommend them for sure, especially with the lockdown and the lack of books being introduced to kids for that purpose.

Tiny books
I didn’t realise how small and thin these books were. They are tiny with only a few pages for each book with a few words on each page. Annoyingly I bought these for my daughter for Christmas but I think she’s too advanced for them. I bought the A and B readers. Disappointed to be honest

Brilliant choice for 4 years old
My son is 4 years old and has started reading on his own recently, these books really help to build up his confidence. I saw some customers commented about how boring/limited pages you get, you absolutely should not throw a wordy story book to a toddler and expect them to be able to read on their own at this age. If your children have started ready on their own then maybe this is not for you/them.

You can never have enough books!
This collection of little books is excellent when children are taking their first steps in reading. Phonetically sound, they involve enough repetition that the child gains confidence, but not so much it becomes tedious. They are attractively illustrated. I think at these early reading stages, children need variety, so this collection will fit in with whatever school reading scheme your child uses.

Love that each book has enough details and realistic illustrations alongside repetitive sentences that kept my toddler engaged and wanting to say the words before I could even finish reading it. Great beginner book set to spark interest in reading!

Chaque livre illustré avec un concept/mot répété dans de petites phrases dans différents contextes C'est tres bien, amusant et non rébarbatif pour apprendre des mots en anglais.

I purchased these for my 5 year old daughter who is in kindergarten to start teaching her how to read. They are the perfect first reader books! I was quite pleasantly surprised that they come in a nice case to store all the books. There are 25 books total The stories and illustrations are super simple, fun, & colourful. It also comes with a parent guide with easy reading tips to help your child which I found very helpful. My daughter is really excited to read all of the books. I think these will be a great help in her learning to read.
