Will this work on the Nintendo Game Cube?

It works great for 50Hz output, but games that force 60Hz such as Metroid Prime 2 has basically unplayable flickering. I haven't found a workaround for this yet.

I have a ps2 slim uk pal, if my settings are composite and 16:9 picture do i switch the adaptor toggle to also 16:9?

If you have 16:9 image ‘IN’ will be 16:9 ‘OUT’ The toggle is only a 1080p or 720p ...both of which are 16:9 ratios

Yes, this will work with PS2, which is why we bought ours. The AV cables for the PS2 fit into the adapter, then plug an HDMI cable into the other end of the adapter and connect to an HDMI port on a TV. Make sure that your TV HDMI supports 480p because this is the resolution that the adapter will run the video at. The adapter does not come with an HDMI cable.

Does this converter work the other way through from hdmi to composite or just composite to hdmi

It's only from RCA to HDMI, I know because I made a mistake and bought the HDMI to RCA thinking it would have been the same. So, make sure you choose the right one, there's usually pictures to explain
