I got the light from this merchant as one I ordered from Amazon warehouse was DOA. This worked perfectly and had very quick delivery. it was very easy to install and get up and running.My water was pretty green when I installed this light, and it took just over a week but the water is now crystal clear (only a small pond at less than 500 litres).It's quite expensive for what it is, but it really is very easy to install and works well - once it's in you then forget all about it.In this instance, I had to buy this as it fits inside my filter, but I'd buy one again if I had a choice. Very pleased with it.

The ballast unit on the uv light in my Blagdon 5 in 1 2000 pump had gone so ordered this replacement.Arrived quickly, wired up and nothing. Checked and bulb had gone. Luckily I had a replacement and all now working. Judging by other comments, can only think that transit in post causes bulb to go, think they must be quite delicate? Good replacement item and all now OK.

Very easy to install, just unscrew and remove the cover cap on the side of the affinity pump, and screw in the new UV unit. No plug supplied, but that is perfectly normal for any outdoor appliance.It took a few days for any effect to be noticeable, but after a week all trace of green water had gone. I found that I had to clean out the filter unit a couple of times over the first week or two, as the dead algae clogged it up a bit. Not a problem, just proof that its working.According to the instructions, the UV bulb needs to be replaced every 6 months to maintain its efficiency, but the replacement bulbs are a lot cheaper than the initial UV Clarifier unit. The process for replacing the bulb seems more complicated than installing the clarifier unit as a whole, although I haven't done it myself yet. The instructions say that when replacing the UV bulb you need to ensure the bulb cover is water tight for 24hours before turning it on. Just bear that in mind if you wire the UV lamp into the same plug as the filter, as you wouldn't have any way to turn off the UV light and keep the pump running at the same time.I must say that I was quite amazed at the results. I wouldn't have thought that it could make so much difference. I'm also much happier about using this than adding chemicals!

No funciona

Es ist meine zweite UV-Lampe für den Teich. Sie funktioniert schon wieder nicht mehr. Dafür ist sie echt zu teuer!! Ich hoffe nur, dass diesmal die Lampe an der Technik wieder festgeschmolzen ist und man dieses Mal "nur" die Lampe tauschen muss! Auch muss man hierfür einen Extrastecker kaufen und anbringen!!

Non funzionava. Gentilissimi e puntuale Amazon mi ha mandato l'articolo sostitutivo. La grande frustrazione che nemmeno il secondo non ha mostrato la presenza di vita. Rimborso.
