Q: Do I need to purchase anything with these lights I.e. A running switch

Basically the 'steering' unit is included in the package.So only a basic switch to turn it completely off is needed if you want it.The steering unit will turn off the DLR as you turn on your regular lights (Because they should not both be on at the same time here in the Netherlands.BTW, very bright lights and als use them as primary light on a custom motorcycle.Hope this helps

Q: Mine do not switch off when headlights come on, any ideas ?

I had this problem not long before the control unit packed up ( about two years old ). I purchase a new unit of ebay for £2.94 free p&p from china.very easy to exchange the unit,the new unit dims when the side/headlights are in use and at that price I bought two,one spare.

Q: If I buy the BLR 0397 DLR's why do I need the Auto Light switch at 12.95 is it not included?

Autoswitch is included in BLR 0397 DLR's. If amazon is suggesting you to buy additional AutoLight switch this is not correct.
