Great lifting power! Took an entire minute each to remove an old strut and install the new one.

Great replacement for the failed hydraulic strut in my Sentry Pistol Safe. Took about 20 minutes to remove the old, failed hydraulic opener and put in the new one. The ends on the new and old struts are different. Just screw off the ends of both and put the Sentry strut ends on the new ones. Works like a charm. Lid opens fully and rapidly again. I put the second strut in the safe in case this one fails like the original did; it will be ready to change out again.

Very good product at a great price

This was an inexpensive and quick way to resurrect my SentrySafe QAP1E Quick Access Digital (non-biometric) Pistol Safe. The old strut completely died. As you can see from my photos, 1. you simply disconnect the oem strut, 2. screw off the oem end brackets, 3. screw the oem brackets onto the new Huopo replacement strut, 4. NOTE: reconnect the screw-in bottom bracket FIRST, 5. then reattach the top bracket. If you attach the top first it is nearly impossible to thread the screw at the bottom because you cannot compress the strut to line up the screw hole, but you can maneuver the top bracket to line up easily. The new strut is stronger than the oem strut but it closes fine and opens like a charm. I do wish I could have bought just 1 strut, but at the $14.00 price point for 2, I really can't complain much. I now have a spare, although I am hoping the new strut will last a good while.

12" 25lbs worked great other than I miscalculated what I actually needed. I was dealing with a camper shell that came without struts for the pop up door. I still am using them and they still work to keep the door up, but feels like a good gust of wind could close it.
