Merriway BH02034 Close Coupling Toilet Bolt & Gasket Kit Fitting Cistern (Pack of 1)

Great, got this to replace a plastic version i brought from B&Q, that would not seal as the plastic clamp was far to thick and held the cistern to far away, this worked first time, thin bracket, good seal and good quality fittings and seals.. For the money grea value.

Great quality coupling kit. Rubber ring fits really well and the metal parts are sturdy and don't flex when you tighten them. If like me you are somewhat frustrated that the description doesnt include the size, the home is for a 1 1/2 inch bsp fitting, this will not fit a 2 inch fitting. Most domestic flush mechanisms are 1 1/2 inch anyway.

The plate was a little wider than the one it replaced but fits ok. It required some considerable compression to squeeze it into place but it appears to be watertight. The foam rubber doughnut could have been packaged a little better as I can imagine the edges of the plate or bolts damaging the soft material in transit but mine arrived fine. No rubber washers included but it appears to hold fine without them

There isn't a great deal you can say about a toilet fitting other than it's made of good quality materials. In your usual high street DIY orange box you'd spend this much just to buy the bolts! The only other comment is that it's better than the one originally supplied with the toilet and I'd made from thicker materials so has marginally altered where the cistern sits on the wall. Note that the metal plate has bevelled bolt recesses and may not be suitable for cisterns that use a flat plate

Bought to replace the old (corroded) Coupling Kit on my pre 1985 Ideal Standard WC. Not only was it corroded but the rubber gasket was rotten. This Close Coupling Kit is a brilliant purchase. It has helped me convert an old flush handled (with broken syphon) WC to a dual push button WC that has no leaks whatsoever. I am more that happy to recommend this kit very very highly.

Easy to install, the larger rubber doughnut makes for a good seal. The rubber isn’t too hard, in fact it’s rather soft but I didn’t have any of the problems that other reviewers described about the rubber being damaged in transit. Overall this is a simple piece of kit and it does what it’s meant to do at an affordable price.

After stripping down my toilet I opened the parts package only to find that the wing nuts for the bolts were missing I had to go on a 16 mile round trip to get some so not very happy with this product

can probably get it cheaper from a proper DIY hardware store, how ever the convenient of next day delivery was the deciding factor. quality is good enough for the job.
