Have had it for a few months. Very good toaster. more expensive than some. But it seems well made.(You get what you pay for, perhaps). But do take care, or it will over brown the toast! Easy to clean. The glass has not fractured. (It was a cold winter day when I took it out of the box and set it up). (The glass might have fractured if I had turned it on before it warmed to room temperature.) Maybe I was forewarned by others.The cord is too short. Made for modern kitchens, I guess, with outlets every 3 feet or so. My kitchen is 36 years old. So I did but a heavy duty, short extension cord, adequately rated for the wattage.

The toaster oven itself no doubt would be great. It is compact and has simple easy to use bake, broil and toast functions. My comment is regarding what looks like a small bit of rust(?) in the inside of the edge of the door, frame. And what looks like a bit of a dent in the handle. When I contacted Amazon customer service, I was told that yes, this would be considered as damaged however I would have to cover the cost of the courier (min $26) to send it back! I find this to be not right, if something arrives and it is not in perfect condition - this item was $179.71 plus tax so just over $200. cdn. the cost to return should be covered. I was told to contact Hamilton Beach now to let them know, and will see what they say. Besides all of this the unit itself would be great.

Like my first one so much that I bought another when my old one gave out and at this price buying two in 6 years is still cheaper than an expensive One. Even toasting, a couple spuds cook evenly etc. The door raises up all the way up and out of the way of the tray (and your wrist) so it's very easy to take hot tray out of oven. The door is held on with only one Phillips screw at each(not rickety) end so if you somehow get something burnt onto the door glass you can simply remove the door and soak in a tub of dish of soapy water and reinstall. Easy controls, true heat and timer, and very even heating and browning of things like four Texas toast sized garlic cheese slices., Not one over browned spot on the garlic bread. Smaller than my bread box which is a plus for me. I have a professional ( largest one can buy) oven, a large air fryer with rotisserie so I actually bought this to be my "toaster" oven lol. Performed well :)

So far so good. Generally it evenly toast 4 slices.
