Bought these to put new ends on my generator wire. Bought a bigger generator for the house and needed the new ends. Thankfully the wire i had was already big enough. These went on easily and work great.

Needed 230 volt 30 amp connector set for my EV battery charger (S10 EV conversion), these work perfect! other option was the dryer style connectors, very large & bulky; these are UL rated @230 volts 30 amps & much slimmer, just connect & twist to lock together, same connectors used for 230 volt 30 amp generator outlets. Good connectors, made for 230v 30a power, I don't cut corners on wiring, it will cause fires & create problems. Be safe & drive farther - EV style. Good product, good price, good value. I have bought these before and will buy again if need arises.

I found these male & female L14-30 pair of plugs to be very well built and easy to install. They come with several separate sets of different sized shims for both plugs to properly tighten around the various sized electrical cords that you may want to install them on. I used mine to install on a 6/4 SOOW electrical cable 75ft long for a portable generator to supply our residence during a power outage. I wanted to use the largest gauge wire possible to reduce the resistance and power lost on a long span. I have seen some other comments online where people are looking for L14-30 plugs that can accommodate #6 gauge wire due to the same type of circumstance and these will accommodate that size wire- you just have to take your time on installation and keep the strands twisted smoothly together.

Works perfectly with 8 gauge SOOW cable if you want to step up performance for long lengths and minimal voltage drop. Most would likely use 10 gauge wire which would work well for short lengths. The screw terminals accepted my 8 gauge wire with room to spare. The cable restraint is heavy duty and comes with 2 sets of inserts for different wire sizes. With no inserts, it holds the 8/4 SOOW perfectly. The 8/4 cable is 0.95 inches in diameter. I used this Journeyman Pro plug and connector set to make an extension cable for my 9500 Watt (surge), 7500 Watt (rated) generator that plugs into my transfer switch on the house. Everything you need in a plug/connector pair at a great price.

These are seriously made with no cutting corners... The have a really good method of securing the wire . 2 Plates squeeze together and the wire is between them... I have used many different types but now I come to these alwats... Very well thought of design and assembling these is no hassle like many others.

I have tried a few "off" brands and had issues. My go to for these type of connectors in industry is Leviton, they are very good and reliable. I had not heard of this brand before. However these worked great and I would use them again.
