Personal Alarm - Compact Battery Powered Torch with 130db Siren - White LED CREE Torch

Great compact torch giving a decent light. The alarm is very loud and shrill for attracting attention. No idea of battery life as just received yesterday. Thinking of buying more as presents.

The media could not be loaded.  This personal alarm/torch arrived in a sturdy, branded cardboard box.It comes with batteries but there is a protective tab that has to be pulled out of the battery holder before the torch can be used. The supplied batteries are a generic brand and I have replaced them with Duracells as a device such as this has to be reliable when needed.The torch has three levels of brightness and pressing the lower button cycles through them and then back to off.Pressing the top button activates the alarm and turns the torch on in strobe mode (see video). The alarm is loud! Apart from surprising any attacker it would attract the attention of anyone nearby.I got this for my partner and she keeps it in the door pocket of her car. She can grab it easily from there but also pop it into her pocket if she parks somewhere when she feels she might be at risk when returning to the car.There’s no guarantee that an alarm like this will save you from an attack but it’s certainly better than nothing!At £9.95 this device is definitely worth the price but as others have pointed out, it could do with a lanyard (I have fitted one) so I’m knocking off a star for this.

The media could not be loaded.  Nice little torch, and I like that it’s not black like virtually every other torch.It came pre-loaded with Three AAA batteries not a brand of batteries are overhead off but take the little paper tag out, and you get a torch that works out the box.One button will change the levels of brightness. There are three levels.The second button activates the strobe light and alarm together.It’s a nice compact size and will fit in the glove box of the car pocket or handbagAn ideal little companion at a good price at less than £10.

The media could not be loaded.  So the first thing I noticed about this torch was just how “together” it feels, by which I mean it has “no rattles”, “no shaking”, basically it feels like a decent solid build.the body of the torch is white plastic, which helps keep it nice and light(weight), and the simplicity of the design makes it very easy to use.In my video I show the 3 different light levels available, but to be honest I think the 1st setting, the “lowest” setting is pretty good anyway. It has quite a focused “central spot”, is does also have an amount of peripheral light that is quite good, I can certainly see this working well for us taking the dogs walking in the evenings. The obvious desirable function for most including us, is the “siren” personnel alarm, that this torch offers, and I have to say “IT IS LOUD!”, in my video I demonstrate “how loud”, and also “how easy” this torch/personal alarm is to use. There are 2 buttons, 1 controls the “torch” functions and the other the “personal alarm” function. The torch button operates by, 1st press= low light, 2nd press= medium light, and yes, 3rd press= high light, then it will cycle back to “Off” the “On” again. I really like the simplicity of function, it’s easy to use and your not worried about accidentally setting off the “alarm”, because that is controlled by the 2nd button that is in front of the “torch” button, each of which is signified by a “symbol” on the rubberised button itself, the “torch” button” has a white symbol, the “alarm” a red symbol, the “alarm” is very simple to use, you just press the button, and it sounds “LOUDLY” & also “FLASHES” the torch light in a rapid fashion.The functionality of the torch/alarm is very good in my opinion, I also think its size and weight will make it easy for members of our family to carry it with them if out when it gets dark.The construction seems good too, it’s a sturdy item, and I fully expect it to be used(carried) quite often.

Love this item, its come in handy on my dog walks and makes me feel safe due to the alarm that gives off a loud sound if i'm in any bother.
