McCormick Himalayan Pink Salt with Black Pepper and Garlic All Purpose Seasoning, 6.5 Oz

One of the best. It can make any food better if you like garlic.

My go-to has always been Mary Jane's Crazy Mixed-Up Salt, but it was going to take a while to get to me via Amazon and I was feeling impatient, so I decided to give this a try. My main reason of getting it was to sprinkle onto my hard-boiled eggs and steamed veggies. The flavor is great, but the coarseness of the himalayan salt gives things a crunch that is a little off-putting. I plan on pouring this into a salt grinder to get a finer texture, and then I'm sure it will be perfect for just about anything, just like the crazy mixed-up salt I grew up with. If I were using this just to season raw meat, then I don't think it would be an issue as the cooking process and the juices from the meat would dissolve the salt a little and make it less crunchy.

I love this stuff. I have tons of spices around, but sometimes I'm in a hurry, and this is a very nice blend. It's so easy to use. I love that it has pink salt, as regular white salt makes my fingers swell, but pink salt, and Celtic salts do not, I think it's because they retain more of the trace minerals than regular white salt. I usually buy this in the 18.5oz bottle, open it up, and add crushed red pepper flakes, and shake it up and use it that way. Then if it still needs more spices I can add them. For some people, this will be all they need. Both of my grown sons love this stuff, but neither of them have a bunch of spices sitting around like I do. This is an easy way for them to spice up their food without having to buy a bunch of spices and google how to use them. (I've tried to teach them too cook, but they aren't interested.)

Have tried multiple SPGs for smoking and cooking this is the best one I have found for taste and balance. Will continue to buy and use this product on almost everything. So good.

This is exactly what you'd expect SPG seasoning to be and it's a great value at the price point. I use this for all kinds of things - a meaningful number of dishes we make each week has this seasoning as its base (vegetables, meat, grilled food, air-fried food, sauteed, etc.). It feels like there's a good ratio of all the ingredients, it doesn't lean heavily towards any one spice (maybe salt but that's what you'd expect with it being the first ingredient listed).
