Superb
The Muji Aluminium Fountain Pen is a sleek and reliable writing instrument that exceeded my expectations. Its minimalist design is complemented by a lightweight yet durable aluminum body, providing a comfortable and balanced grip. The nib glides smoothly across paper, offering a consistent ink flow without any skips. I appreciate the pen's versatility, allowing me to use various ink colors. The simplicity of the pen, combined with Muji's quality craftsmanship, makes it an excellent choice for both everyday use and professional settings. Overall, a fantastic purchase for those seeking a stylish, high-quality fountain pen without breaking the bank.

Superb pen - brilliant value
I normally use more expensive pens but have recently been trying out different sub-£20 fountain pens to see if any could serve as an everyday, 'chuck it in your bag' pen. The Muji pen really surprised me. It's slim, well-designed, finely machined and looks and feels like a quality pen. It writes beautifully and is very comfortable to hold. It comes with a standard black single-use cartridge, so I've fitted mine with a Faber Castell ink converter which fits well. This pen is really pleasant to use and very good value for money overall. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Great aluminium Fountain Pen, if you like EF tips
I really want to like this fountain pen, but it is not for me. It is made of light but sturdy brushed aluminium, with a very minimalistic look (as you would expect from MUJI). You can use it with international cartridges, or you can get an adapter. Very well-balanced and comfortable to use. My main problem is that I cannot get a smooth flow with the Extra Fine tip. I feel like I need to press more than I am used to, and that creates a slightly scratch feeling in the paper, which I do not enjoy. I am using Waterman Intense Black Ink, but I cannot achieve a smooth and continuous flow, with some letters/words coming up as darker than others, probably due to the pressure issue I am finding. Highly recommended if you enjoy a superb designed all-aluminium Extra Fine fountain pen, but I will save it for signature or special work only.

Nice writer at a decent price point
The Muji is a nice little pen. Quite light in the hand for those used to heavier pens. It writes well and I've had no issues with ink flow (using a Faber refillable cartridge). That said, it is a little scratchy when compared to more expensive pens but, at its price point, it is a very useable pen.

Classy and stylish fountain pen
It had been years since I used a fountain pen but this was a delight, smoothly gliding over the page with none of the scratching I recall from my schooldays. Easy to use, its design is simple and stylish with none of the leaks and inky fingers that were also a part of my memories. The need to write slightly slower is also improving my appalling handwriting. I look forward to using it long into the future.

Pleasantly surprised
Being an absolute fountain pen addict, this kept coming up to tease me. I finally caved in and bought it. I usually go for a medium nib but wanted to try a fine nib for some finer writing. My experience of fine nibs has generally not been good but this pen amazed me. Very understated design. Light aluminium but with a nice grippy knurled barrel. The smoothest fine nib I've found so far. Pretty comfortable to hold although the knurled grip stops a little too far from the nib for my liking but that's because i tend to grip my pens very close to the nib. It's not really an issue to be honest and has not spoilt my enjoyment of the pen. I like the way my writing looks with this pen. Somewhat tidier than usual. I would definitely recommend. I know better than anyone that you really do not need to spend a fortune to get a decent fountain pen.

The last post.
A lovely pen that writes extremely well. However, every attempt to post the cap failed either immediately or shortly after, as did the last one. It just wouldn't stay in place. Very annoying but luckily the only thing that was.

I own many fountain pens (possibly too many) and this is one of my favourites. It's compact, comfortable, very light, and stylish. It also has one of the smoothest nibs I own which makes it a pleasure to write and sketch with. In fact it has a smoother nib than other pens in my collection that cost ten times as much making it fantastic value. I've no idea if I was lucky to get such a smooth nib with my first Muji fountain pen but I've read other positive accounts so perhaps it's a sign of great quality control. The only minor negative point I can think of is that it comes with only a small international cartridge but this means it can be used with a large international cartridge or convertor so it's easily remedied. Some people classify this as a starter pen and while I think it's true that its low cost and ease of use put it in the same league as the Lamy Safari and Pilot Metropolitan and it's not as fancy as high-priced pens it's definitely a pleasure to use at any time. Highly recommended.

I first tried one of these fountain pens a few years ago. I love how, even though being a fine point, the ink just flows without skipping. It is an excellent pen for inking drawings, and it's never given me any troubles. Until I lost, misplaced, or had it stolen. When I couldn't find my pen, I decided to buy another one, which I did and I was VERY happy that it's quality, look and feel and writing experience remain the same. I like how thin this pen is and how the cap slips onto the back of the pen while in use. It's a flat aluminum colored pen and it comes with cartridges filled with black ink. They look to be international standard type so I imagine you could get any color ink refills you'd like, I usually just use black in mine. This is a good beginner's fountain pen because of how easy it is to use, it just works without issue -- there is no "breaking in" or adjusting the nib, of the several I have purchased and used over the years, none have given me issues or need to be adjusted. Writing is comfortable and not a strain, much like writing with a regular pen or pencil. I likely will buy it again.
