Excellent value.
For the price, this is an extremely impressive set of headphones. I was previously using Koss Portapros, which have the edge on sound quality, but these are more comfortable, more stylish and isolate sound much more, and so are well suited to train and plane journeys. They're not technically noise cancelling headphones, but sometimes it feels like they are.Sound quality is good across the spectrum, but particularly at the bass end: remarkably powerful but still clean, so if you're planning to listen to a lot of bass-heavy music, these come very highly recommended. Mid and treble response is nothing special but it's perfectly acceptable, and I've only heard them outperformed in this price range by the aforementioned Koss Portapros. So while they're perhaps less appropriate for jazz, classical and less bass-heavy electronic music, this is still an excellent value all-round headphone for the street, the train, the plane or even in the house.

Overall great, high volume issues and hurting ears.
Very fast delivery from Amazon even with free delivery (took two days to arrive). Considering the price I would rate these headphones very highly. However I have a couple of small issues with them which prevented a 5 star review. One is that for whatever reason after long ish (30mins-1hr) durations wearing them they hurt my ears, maybe that is just me and something with on-ear in general. Another is that at higher volumes the audio wobbles, the bass drowns out everything else and vocals especially suffer, but not a huge problem. Overall a great pair of headphones, stylish and great bass with good audio quality especially for the price.

How much bass?!?
I broke my Ted Bakers and due to my aversion to buying the same product I went for a pair of cans from a range I'm a bit familiar with. First off, there is nothing subtle about the sound from these. I have never heard bass from a pair of cans like these. Over-ear, in-ear, closed, noise cancelling or any. None have bass like these. The first time I've had to turn my bass down (I use Rocket Player Premium on LG G5). It literally shakes the speakers. This will make certain music ie, dance, pop, orchestral and the like, sound like you've never heard before. Guitar based music will suffer a little so maybe have a different equaliser if you're listening to that, but when altered, it can handle it with aplomb.Fit wise, they're very comfy especially if, like me, you're a spectacle wearer. No ears crushed between the cushion and the arm of your glasses. If you're after ridiculous levels of bass then these are for you. If you want subtle, nuanced sounds then maybe not but if you've the patience to fiddle around with your graphic equaliser, then you can be rewarded with good sound.

Superb quality for the price
I haven’t had any overhead headphones before so I guess I can't speak from experience, but I'm really pleased with these compared to the inner ear type I've had previously. I mainly listen to techno and dance music and the bass is reproduced in all its glory with these headphones. Other music is also great quality and also films and TV sound brilliant. As other reviews have stated, they're not noise cancelling but because of the soft earpieces they block out a similar amount of noise to a set of earplugs. I decided on these as to get similar quality wireless would probably end up costing the best part of £100. The blue metal outer shell looks amazing in the flesh and they look like they'll last if you look after them in a case. (I bought the Brainwavz zip up red and black case and it fits perfectly).

These are good headphones but compare to the other Sony headphones I ...
These are good headphones but compare to the other Sony headphones I had ( and sadly broke..).. it s decent. Sound is good but not sure if it is my head they often fall over. Other issue is whenever I leave vocal messages, it does a weird constant jingle as if some parts where disconnected inside....It is not major but still a bit odd.The style is really nice so I guess overall for the price, I am still happy about it.

The bass is amazing: )
The bass is amazing :) .does not interfere with mid. as it is low frequency bass => that is good!!!the bass may be a little too much for some people. in that case best is not to use any equalizer or an equalizer with more treble. The fit is good and it looks good too.at first my left ear was uncomfortable but you just have to get the hang of it then its awesome! The headphones are quite light weight too.since i just got them I cannot comment on the durability yetbut would certainly recommend it to all the bass lovers! Moreover (if im not mistaken) it is dynamic type i think, so you have to burn it to one machine for some hours to culture the soundEdit: After a week's use I love it even more!!!!! I put them on while watching a movie on laptop and i felt i was in the theater!!!!

Uncomfortable
While the ear cushions aren't too bad (could be softer), the actual band at the top is extremely uncomfortable. And not even after an extended period of time but as soon as you pop them on. They hurt your scalp. And when you take them down and leave them around your neck it almost cuts in to your neck. Not the biggest expert on sound quality but they seem fine. They cancel out all other sound.

Good mid and high end. Strong but muddy bass. Comfortable.
Big step up from generic earphones. Mid and high end are very clear while bass is a little muddy and muffled for my taste. Also bass might be a little too strong but this can be sorted out with an EQ.The headphones themselves are quite small and plasticky but you get used to them after a while. Reasonably comfortable.
